Don't fall for this Surface Pro 11 'deal' — I found three ways to get a Surface Pro for less

Today I saw a "record low" price for the Surface Pro 11 claiming the $1,099.99 price is the lowest-ever. But there were two problems. First, the price that I saw highlighted is not the best price Amazon has ever had on that model. Second, Amazon's current deal on the black Surface Pro 11 is not even the best available at the moment.

There are a lot of Surface Pro deals right now, many of which can save you hundreds of dollars on the PC. But you need to be wary of "record low" or "best price ever" claims.

Why buy a Surface Pro 11?

Microsoft set the standard for the 2-in-1 form factor with the Surface Pro. Over a decade of refinement resulted in a "design that has been fine-tuned to almost perfection," according to our Editor-in-Chief Daniel Rubino and Senior Editor Zac Bowden.

The Surface Pro 11 has a built-in kickstand for use as a standalone tablet and can be attached to a keyboard for a laptop-like experience. You can even use a Surface Pro Flex Keyboard wirelessly if you're willing to pay a premium.

In our Surface Pro 11 review, the PC earned a perfect score. Rubino concluded that review by saying:

"Having witnessed the evolution of every Surface Pro version and yearning for a device that excels in performance and battery life akin to the best Windows laptops (and even MacBooks), Microsoft has undeniably nailed it with the Surface Pro 11, making it a strong recommendation."

The model highlighted here has a 120Hz OLED display that's bright, beautiful, and is VESA DisplayHDR 600 compatible. That screen also supports Dolby Vision and is color accurate (100% sRGB, 88% AdobeRGB, and 96% DCI-P3).

The Snapdragon X Elite inside this Surface Pro 11 helps deliver long battery life and performance, especially for a PC this thin. A big bonus is that Microsoft does not throttle performance on the Snapdragon X Elite when the Surface Pro 11 is running on battery.

There isn't really a direct competitor to the Surface Pro 11 in my opinion. But the price of the device means it competes with other expenses you have to take care of. The current deals on the Surface Pro 11 help in that regard.

Surface Pro 11 accessories

To get the best Surface Pro 11 experience, you need a keyboard. The Surface Pro Flex Keyboard can be used wirelessly and has a haptic trackpad. It's available with or without a Surface Slim Pen.
