How is Huawei MateBook 13 battery life?

Best answer: You'll be able to enjoy using the excellent Huawei MateBook 13 for around seven hours on a full charge.Amazon: Huawei Matebook 13 (opens in new tab) ($999+)

You'll get many hours of use

The onboard 41.7Wh power plant is ample enough to get around seven hours of conservative use from a single charge. It's not quite the same figure you'd find on a Dell XPS 13, but this laptop houses more powerful components and a smaller battery so you won't see double digits in terms of uptime hours while portable.

The amount of time you'll get, however, all depends on how you use the laptop. If you're writing up documents and checking emails, you'll be more than capable of hitting the same numbers we have in our MateBook 13 review, but if you're playing games, watching videos, or running more demanding software, your charge will deplete at a considerably faster rate.

If you need to extend the battery life, this laptop supports USB Type-C charging, allowing you to hook up your favorite power bank to provide much-needed juice.

The best Macbook rival so far

The battery life isn't the only positive to take away from the Huawei MateBook 13. There's an excellent 2160x1440 display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, solid performance with latest Intel processors, and a stunning design. Huawei also offers better value compared against Apple MacBooks.

Choice of configurations include an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 8265U or Core i7 8565U CPU, onboard or dedicated NVIDIA MX 150 GPU, and 256GB or 512GB SSD storage. Other notable features include Windows Hello support (fingerprint reader), Dolby Atmos, and 8GB RAM.
