Microsoft giving away free Xbox game in Memorial Day Sale

Microsoft currently has a deal going for Memorial Day in the US, enabling those with an Xbox One or 360 to enjoy a free game when two or more titles are purchased. The offer is available through the Microsoft Stores and web store. Games include Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, Tomb Raider and more.

As always with deals such as these, availability varies by store and the free game has to be equal of lesser value than those purchased. Also, Microsoft is excluding first party games and the deal lasts until May 27th. Still, it's a neat deal for anyone who's looking to stock up on some gaming hours.

Head to the online store to take advantage of the offer (opens in new tab). We've also got our own sale going on at the Windows Phone Central Store.

  • I cant be paitent witht that stupid compnay called fb inc.
  • I'm 99% sure that they had nothing to do with it.
  • What about the other 1%?
  • Quantum mechanics tells us that nothing can be known with 100% certainty. ;)
  • I know I just farted with 100% certainty. Where is your science now?
  • What is your definition of a fart are you sure it was just gas you might wanna check you might have let some slip
  • Your life could be an illusion. If you can ponder your existence, then you exist... but what form your existence takes? That's another story.
  • Maybe their Christians at WPCENTRAL. They're not suppose to work on Sundays. I totally RESPECT that.
  • That's some chickfila bullshit!
  • You shouldn't down people for their religious beliefs. You're entitled to feel how you feel but you should also show respect.
  • I know I never want chick fila more then on Sundays.
  • Or there is nothing to talk about. No that can't be it /s
  • "free"
  • 'Giving away' lolno
  • Lol, we don't have Memorial Day or X1 here lol.
  • The irony of giving away Battlefield on a day to honour fallen servicemen.
  • It's not free
  • Awww man, US only :( We'll remember stuff for you US folks!
  • Do you live in Mars? There isn't any life form in any place in earth apart from US
  • but this is a US holiday so.....
you know it's MEMORIAL DAY, you know about remembering men and women who have died while serving in the UNITED STATES Armed Forces.
so why do you want a free game from a holiday that is not yours especially if most people outside US don't even know about it?. do you understand this is a UNITED STATES holiday? if you are not from US which I think you are not, did you know about it? or you are just complaining just to complain? maybe you expect free games to everyone in the world in Washington's Birthday? Martin Luther King? maybe Flag day? really?
  • It doesn't matter, chances are there wont be 3 games you want anyway lol.
  • I want US to get ready integrated with the rest of the world.
  • Xbox games never really have good sales. When I had ps4you could find deals everywhere. I need battlefield 4 but refuse to pay $54+ for the game. Consignment store here I come $40
  • Amazon, $40 new, $30 used. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/ol/B00CXCCB64/ref=mw_dp_ol?tag=hawk-future-2...
  • Thanks
  • But the games on playstation are never really yours. On Xbox, they are
  • If you can't afford PlayStation plus our Xbox live, you shouldn't own either console
  • Nonsense. You don't need either XBL or PS+ to enjoy them
  • Technically no game is ever "yours". Even games you have a physical copy of you aren't paying for the game you are purchasing a license to play that game. This is the case for all consoles, PC, etc.
  • On Games for Gold on Xbox One rolls out they are rentals just like on PS+.
  • Haven't even picked up my Xbox One yet, but I couldn't pass up this deal. I got Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty and Need for Speed for $63 including tax. I'll be set now for when i finally get my Xbox.
  • NFS is fun.
  • Assassins creed is worth it. Long game. Waiting on Unity now
  • Making the jump from PS3 to Xbox. Looking forward to seeing how the experience compares. Lack of backwards compatibility was one of the deciding factors, that and the whole family is on Windows phones and PCs so looking forward to being in one ecosystem as well. Kids aren't too thrilled though, all they've known is Playstation. Although when the PS3 gets moved into the playroom I'm sure that will ease the sting a little.
  • XboxOne June preview update is out now lots of new things packed in plus external storage come find me on XboxLive for some multiplayer mayhem
  • I gets frees games, always ⌒.⌒
  • Am I crazy or is almost every Xbox One game sold out?
  • This deal has been up a few days. I was able to get fifa ac4 and Wolfe stein for 64. Shortly after games were selling out
  • Well crap. I'm upset I missed it. Would have loved FIFA and wolfenstein
  • Once again, digital owners get snubbed.
  • Microsoft is not in charge of digital prices. Publishers are.
  • They're not in charge of digital prices but they're in charge of disc prices? Interesting set up you envision there. Regardless, Microsoft is in charge of their own digital prices and promotions and there is pricing disparity there too.
  • Hmmm... Us, check... Bought game Titanfall, check... "free game?"... Still waiting!!! Unless you have to do this from a laptop. It says no mention of a free game in the store. oh well...
  • Titanfall is awesome.
  • I bought battlefield 4 last night and can't even get into a multiplayer game.
