A new report claims that newer versions of its Microsoft Band 2 fitness wearable might be shipping with thicker skins, to prevent tearing.
According to Winsupersite:
These reports have come from customers of both Best Buy and the physical Microsoft Stores who have had to swap torn Bands. Employees helping with the exchange have mentioned that there's a special Lot Number that has been fortified with either new or thicker material.
The lot number on the Microsoft Band 2 can be found on its retail box. The story claims that if the lot number is 1608 or above, it might ship with the thicker skin. Windows Central has heard the same reports as well. Be aware that Microsoft has not confirmed if newer Microsoft Band 2 shipments have this thicker material.
