The BlackWidow V3 Mini released in May, and we were big fans right away. Our review gave it a perfect 5 out of 5 and called it one of the best keyboards around. Well, now you can get all that awesomeness on sale because it has dropped it price on Amazon for the first time. The Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini wireless mechanical keyboard is down to just $153. That's $27 off its normal price. This deal only works on the version with Razer's Green mechanical switches. The version with Yellow switches is still going for near its MSRP. The keyboard is also on sale at Best Buy, although the price isn't as low as Amazon's.
In our review Daniel Rubino said, "Everything on this keyboard is excellent — travel, the angles, the way the keys feel, and that sweet RGB." He added that this "is my favorite keyboard period, and I have no plans to replace it anytime soon."
The BlackWidow V3 Mini lets you connect in multiple ways. First, you can always just go wired. Just plug it in and use it! Don't worry about the battery life. If you do need to go wireless, there's a switch on the back that makes it easy to choose between Bluetooth, which will let you connect easily to a variety of devices, and just straight wireless. The wireless is boosted by Razer's HyperSpeed technology, which ensures a connection as latency free as possible.
If you are going wireless, the keyboard has a fantastic battery life that can last for up to 200 hours. Ideally, you'll want to turn off the RGB lighting to keep that battery going longer because that will drain it more than anyhthing else.
The 65% keyboard eliminates a lot of the extraneous keys and space you'll find on a full-size keyboard. You don't have a numpad on the right, but you do get to keep dedicated arrow keys. If you use those often, that may be important to you as most compact keyboards don't have them.
The keyboard has a low sound profile, mechanical switches that produce smooth keystrokes, and doubleshot ABS keycaps with labels that won't fade.
