Sunset Overdrive PC is headed to Windows 10's Microsoft Store too

Insomniac Games' 2014 Xbox One exclusive, Sunset Overdrive, is headed to PC, with its arrival all-but-confirmed amid countless leaks. Reports of a PC re-release date back to May, recently rekindled by Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and Steam database listings. Now, a Windows 10 debut via the Microsoft Store is also likely, with official Achievements hitting Xbox Live.

As reported by TrueAchievements, Sunset Overdrive has now appeared on Microsoft servers under its internal codename "Sunflower." With its PC Game Hub live, 80 Xbox Live Achievements have also been exposed, totaling 1000 Gamerscore. Given Microsoft's expanding PC gaming presence, the game should hit Windows 10's integrated Microsoft Store, alongside the previously-leaked Steam release.

With Sunset Overdrive seemingly embracing the Windows Universal Platform (UWP), it's unclear what this means for buyers. We'd hope Xbox Play Anywhere integration is considered, bringing cross-platform purchases, multiplayer, and saves between Xbox One and PC.

Could this mean Xbox One X enhancements are also in the pipeline? Only time will tell.

We currently expect an official Sunset Overdrive PC reveal on November 10, as a part of its X018 event in Mexico City.
