Updated September 28, 2018: Thronebreaker is now available for digital preorder on Xbox One.

CD Projekt RED has been on a roll recently. Not only did the team unveil the first gameplay footage from Cyberpunk 2077 after Gamescom 2018, but the studio is also releasing a new Witcher card game this year. On October 23, 2018 — and December 4 for consoles — the developer will release another game tied to Gwent called "Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales". As you can see from the gameplay, Thronebreaker is an isometric role-playing game with card battles.

The description says Thronebreaker "spins a truly regal tale of Meve, a war-veteran queen of two Northern Realms. Facing an imminent Nilfgaardian invasion, Meve is forced to once again enter the warpath, and set out on a dark journey of destruction and revenge." There appears to be plenty of choice in terms of dialogue as well.

Thronebreaker is currently available for preorder for $29.99 on PC. It's unclear when preorders will open up for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. CD Projekt RED says that Thronebreaker lasts roughly thirty hours and features twenty different endings. There are also 75 different side quests to occupy your time with.

If you can't get enough of CD Projekt RED and loved Gwent, then this might be an experience to sink your teeth into. Keep in mind that battles occur through cards. You have to use the right solider at the right time to succeed.
