The Wolf Among Us claws its way to the Windows Store

File this one under "better late than never," but Telltale's The Wolf Among Us is now available in the Windows Store (opens in new tab). The five-part series originally launched in 2013, so it's good to see it come to the confines of the Windows Store alongside Telltale brethren like Batman and Minecraft: Story Mode.
The story of The Wolf Among Us in Fabletown, where fairytale characters are being murdered. As Bigby Wolf (aka the Big Bad Wolf), the sheriff of Fabletown, you have to investigate the murders and get to the bottom of what's happening. It's a bloody take on classic fairytale characters, and every decision and branching dialog choice you make has the potential to impact the story in meaningful ways.
If you're familiar with Telltale's roster of games, you'll know what to expect here. If not, then The Wolf Among us serves as a pretty good introduction to the studio's narrative-heavy approach. The Wolf Among Us is available for $25 in the Windows Store now.

Excellent game -- got me into the comic series. $25 is a bit hefty for it. Were it Play Anywhere, on the other hand...
-
I like how these games are dropping on Windows 10.
-
THIS is a great game, one of the best ive played from Telltale Games !
-
The publisher must be finding it worthwhile to bring these to the store
-
Unlike most comic book tie-in games this one is part of the continuity. The "official" choices were depicted in the Fables: The Wolf Among Us comic book adaptation. Let that sink in, a comic book adaptation of a video game based on a comic book.

UPD. Looks like difference caused by different pricing policy for different countries in Store and Steam (US consumers see 24.99 in both cases). Comment should be skipped since based on false information. So it requires x64 architecture which already can run Steam, and price is 66,7% higher...
For me as for Win10 user it is nice to see it here, but only reason that I see: get more bucks from people who don't know about Steam, and I dislike it. -
it may have taken some extra effort to bring it to windows 10 store. they need to recoup that cost. considering costs have never been comparable between the two, i don't see too much of a gouging effect here. they're different economies. whenever a game is released on a certain platform, it always is more expensive than its counterparts on other platforms as well. you don't need to buy it. i for one welcome more games to the windows store. i wish it was play anywhere or at least a cross-platform buy for anyone who already owns it on xbox, but oh well, we can't have everything we want. Edit: I just double checked. It's $24.99 on Steam too. So i have no clue what your'e talking about.

Just checked Steam again $14.99 - http://take.ms/yqh0A probably depends on country, but in MS Store I see $24.99. I'm OK with 5-10% higher price for new game, but not this difference. It is interesting if there are more regions with this gap.
-
even more interesting because i'm in the US.
-
But I'm not from US.
Just double checked with friends from US and they see $24.99 just like you - my first already updated. -
Sorry. I saw the "USD" and assumed US. My bad.

4th best Telltale game after Walking Dead Season 1 and 2 and Tales from Borderlands
-
One of telltales best games, a pity it's not an Xbox Play Anywhere title, MS should really be doing whatever it can to make as much of the games library as possible has this feature.
-
I paid for this on Windows 8. Would I have to repurchase this for Windows 10, or is the telltale login functional?
-
I simply cannot understand why these games are not play anywhere. They are perfect for it.
-
I enjoyed this one more than any other Telltale game so far I would recommend it to anyone.
-
Oh yeah, I was waiting for this
I'm gonna get it -
Great game would definitely recommend 😊👍
