Xbox Games with Gold is an oft-maligned service available to Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, and provides four free games every month. The titles can include Xbox One, Xbox 360, and original Xbox titles, and usually enjoys a decent variety of genres. As we near the end of January, Microsoft has taken the wraps off the four free games heading to Xbox Games with Gold in Feb. 2022.

February's Xbox Games with Gold aren't liable to excite large swathes of the Xbox community, but it is additional value for Xbox Live Gold subscribers that enjoy these games or trying new ones. The games on offer this month amount to a $56 value and offer a combined 2,400 Gamerscore in Achievements. The four games include:

  • Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse: Available from Feb. 1 until Feb. 28.
  • Hydrophobia: Available from Feb. 1 until Feb. 15.
  • Band of Bugs: Available from Feb. 15 until Feb. 28.
  • Aerial_Knight's Never Yield: Available from Feb. 16 until March. 15.

Xbox Games with Gold has fallen from favor in recent memory thanks to a decline in perceived value from the Xbox community. Thankfully, Xbox Game Pass is considered one of the best values in all of gaming, providing access to hundreds of high-quality games, with more added to Xbox Game Pass all the time.

If you pay a little more for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you gain access to the hundreds of games in Xbox and PC Game Pass, including many of the best Xbox games, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Xbox Live Gold. This means Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also includes Xbox Games with Gold.
