ASUS first announced plans to update its ZenBook and VivoBook lineup with Intel's latest eighth-generation processors during IFA 2017, and now they're actually available. In all, ASUS has announced five updated notebooks are now available, sporting Intel's latest processors. With double the core count in each processor, ASUS claims it has managed to squeeze out up to a 40 percent performance increase without hitting battery life. Here's a look at all of what's new:
ZenBook 3 Deluxe UX490
The ZenBook 3 Deluxe UX490 squeezes a 14-inch screen into 13-inch chassis that measures in at 12.9mm thin and weighs 2.43 pounds. Inside, the ZenBook 3 Deluxe UX490 is available with Intel's eighth-generation Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. The laptop is also equipped with two USB Type-C ports, which ASUS says can power dual 4K displays.
The ZenBook 3 Deluxe UX490 is available at Amazon and other retailers for $1,699.
ZenBook Flip S UX370
The 13.3-inch ZenBook Flip S UX370 is a convertible laptop that measures in at 10.9mm thick and weighs 2.43 pounds. The laptop can be equipped with up to an Intel eighth-generation Core i7 processor, 512GB of storage, and 16GB of RAM. In terms of ports, the ZenBook Flip S UX370 packs two USB-C ports, and there's also a fingerprint scanner on the side.
The ZenBook Flip S UX370 will be available soon at the Microsoft Store.
ZenBook UX330
The ZenBook UX330 is a more basic entry, once again offering up to an eighth-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 256GB of storage, and 8GB of RAM. The 13.3-inch full HD screen is packed into a 13.5mm thick body weighing 2.65 pounds. ASUS is also claiming up to 12 hours of battery life.
The ZenBook UX330 is available at Amazon for $749.
VivoBook Flip TP510
The 15.6-inch VivoBook Flip TP510 can be equipped with up to an Intel Core i7 eighth-generation processor, 1TB of storage, and 8GB of RAM. A convertible laptop, the display can be rotated to place the VivoBook Flip into tablet, tent, stand, and laptop modes. The VivoBook Flip also packs a Windows Hello-compatible fingerprint sensor into the touchpad. Input from the ASUS Pen active stylus is supported as well.
The VivoBook Flip TP510 is available for $899 at Amazon and other retailers.
VivoBook S510
The VivoBook S510 is ASUS' latest entry in the VivoBook line, featuring a 15.6-inch display with minimal bezels. Once again, Intel's eighth-generation processors are here with the Core i7-8550U. The laptop also includes 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD-1TB HDD combo. If you need an extra graphics boost, the laptop also packs in NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics. Ports include USB Typce-C, USB 3, USB 2, and HDMI.
The VivoBook S510 is available now for $899 at Newegg.
