Gears of War: E-Day ranks among the top five “most covered, watched, and discussed games” of showcase season
Gears of War: E-Day ranked among the five most covered, watched, and discussed games of showcase season, according to new data.
I'd like to say it's a surprise, but it really isn't. Gears of War: E-Day had a fantastic showing during this year's showcase season, and thanks to data provided by LevelUp, a marketing analytics company focused on the gaming industry, we now have a clearer picture of just how much of a splash it made.
Gears of War: E-Day ranked fifth among the best-performing games between June 1, 2026, and June 11, 2026, placing it among the most covered, watched, and discussed titles of the showcase season. It's not the only Xbox game to make the list, either.
Before we jump into what other game made the list, let’s go over how these rankings work. The rankings are based on a combination of trailer performance, press coverage, and community engagement. Each game is scored across those categories, with the results combined into a comparative index that can be compared between each game.
It's great to see Gears of War: E-Day perform so well, too. The game genuinely looks fantastic, and based on the reaction so far, it seems plenty of people agree.
Another game that also looks fantastic is Spyro: A Realm Reborn, which I covered yesterday after its trailer surpassed 10 million views, beating the likes of PlayStation's Wolverine on YouTube. On LevelUp's index, Spyro: A Realm Reborn came in ninth place, which is an impressive result in its own right, showing that there is indeed keen interest for Spyro's return.
As for the rest of the rankings, first place went to God of War: Laufey, followed by The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake in second. Resident Evil Veronica took third place, while Wolverine finished fourth, just ahead of Gears of War: E-Day in fifth.
It’s all just data, and honestly, it could not amount to much, but it’s still great to see two Xbox franchises on the list, and with that said, let me know your thoughts on the list in the comments and be sure to take part in our poll!
