In a recent podcast interview, Xbox EVP and Chief Content Officer Matt Booty detailed what fans can expect from Xbox's upcoming June showcase. He confirmed that we won't see Xbox's next console, Project Helix, at the event, and, to the dismay of some fans, other platforms will still be advertised alongside games shown during the showcase.

However, he may have also given us a glimpse at Xbox's planned release cadence for some of its biggest upcoming games, stating:

Yeah, well, just even talking about portfolio, to start out, we've got so many games for XBOX players to play coming up. We start out with Halo: Campaign Evolved. We go to Minecraft Dungeons II. We've got Gears of War: E-Day. Then we go into Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4. And then we've got more after that. So it's just, to start, a really great lineup for XBOX.”

While Booty doesn't explicitly provide release dates, the order in which he lists these titles could offer an indication of how Xbox currently expects its major releases to roll out.

Of course, the news of Fable being delayed to February 2027 is a tough blow, but at least we now have a clearer idea of what to expect. With Call of Duty typically launching in October, and Xbox likely wanting to do everything it can to avoid GTA 6, knowing that the lineup seemingly starts with what I'm most excited for, Halo: Campaign Evolved, does at least put a smile on my face.

For me, I'm quite pleased with this lineup, assuming it is indeed the release order. Of course, I could be reading too much into what Booty said, but the way he phrases it does lead me to believe we'll be seeing Halo sooner than many might expect, followed by a very solid lineup with Minecraft Dungeons II, Gears of War: E-Day, and more after that.

How do you feel, though? Would you be happy if Xbox’s lineup of games released in this order? Or is there a game here you’re looking forward to way more than the other and want it sooner? Let me know in the comments and be sure to take part in our poll!
