Capcom has just unveiled the latest trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. While it doesn't give us more gameplay, it does cover more of the game's story and characters, and provides details on the game's Deluxe Edition and pre-order bonus.
It also reveals the return of an old-school monster I've wished were in Monster Hunter Wilds, but decided to make a comeback here instead. Here's everything you need to know about the next entry in the Monster Hunter Stories series from this new trailer.
It also gives us brief glimpses of the game's characters, whom our protagonist will meet on his journey, from the antagonistic forces of the Vermeil Empire to other Monster Riders who may join him as party members.
The biggest surprise, however, is that at the end of the trailer, it reveals that Yama Tsukami, a giant monster that hasn't been seen in a western-released Monster Hunter game since 2008's Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, will at long last return to the franchise as an epic boss fight.
The trailer then closes out with confirmation that pre-orders for the game have gone live, along with information regarding its pre-order bonus and Deluxe Editions.
Pre-ordering the game will net you access to the Skyscale Queen Layered Armor Set for Eleanor.

On top of that, if you happen to have save data from Monster Hunter Stories 1, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, and Monster Hunter Rise, you gain automatic access to Layered Armor sets from those games.
At long last, I can finally fight Yama Tsukami in Monster Hunter Stories
I was dead-set on getting Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection after seeing its extended gameplay deep dive, but the addition of Yama Tsukami being a boss has now sealed the deal.
I've never fought this monster personally since it was locked behind Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, and I don't have a PSP on hand anymore.
So, the idea that I'll finally get to fight this hot-air balloon Cthulhu in Monster Hunter Stories, let alone a modern Monster Hunter title, has got me more excited than when Capcom announced Omega for Monster Hunter Wilds.
I can't wait to ride on with my Monsties and finally have my dream match with Yama Tsukami when Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflections launches on March 13, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
