There are a lot of "gaming earbuds" out there but this one is by far and away the best I've used. They're far more comfortable even than Apple or Samsung earbuds, and have sound quality at least on par while being significantly cheaper. They're compatible with Xbox and PC via USB, and mobile devices via Bluetooth, and they're on offer for Cyber Monday.

This is easily the lowest-cost headset I’d still stand behind, perfect for anyone wanting to keep gaming without draining their wallet. At this price, it’s arguably the strongest value pick on the list. With a flip-to-mute mic arm, audio performance that punches above its bracket, and a build that feels sturdier than you might expect, it’s probably the best “genuinely good” budget headset for Xbox and PC this Cyber Monday.

Turtle Beach Stealth 700 (Gen 3)
Mid-range Hero

The very first gaming headset I ever reviewed was from Turtle Beach, and it’s been a trip watching the company refine its products over the past decade. With the Stealth 700 (Gen 3), Turtle Beach has arguably come closer than ever to that "does everything" ideal, offering a headset that delivers a premium feel while landing in a much more accessible price bracket. This is the model I point to for anyone ready to move beyond entry-level gear.

My Stealth 700 (Gen 3) review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Xbox Wireless Headset (2025)
Starting Gate
Save 20% ($23.99)
Xbox Wireless Headset (2025): was $119.99 now $96 at Amazon

The basic Xbox Wireless Headset offered by Microsoft is by no means "amazing," but it's a great starting point for anyone who wants to stay within the brand and still elevate their audio experience. The Xbox Wireless Headset is rocking Bluetooth, Xbox and PC compatibility, on-ear controls, decent comfort and sound, and a much better Cyber Monday price point.

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro has been my go-to headset for years owing to its versatility. This is a headset for those who game at a desk most likely, owing to its DAC and compatibility for multiple devices into a single interface. It has great sound, hot-swap batteries, and solid software that gives you a large amount of configurability.

The LS50X was my go-to mid-range headset recommendation for a long time, owing to its construction quality and solid soundscape. There are better headsets around these days, but if you like the design and wanted something versatile enough for both Xbox, PC, and lifestyle use with Bluetooth, this is a great option if you like the design.

This Cyber Monday Xbox headset deal is really, really tough to beat. The BlackShark range has always been killer value, but with 45% off you're getting an headset that punches well, well above its weight class. I prefer the soundscape on the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 (Gen 3) personally, but the gap is small overall. And this is a bit cheaper.

If you don't care about wirelessness, this is probably the best Cyber Monday headset deal on the list. The epic and legendary soundscaping of HyperX headsets continues unabated in the Cloud III range, with dual-chamber drivers that deliver detailed, cinematic tones without sacrificing tactical cues.

Do you want maximum convenience? The Astro A50 (Gen 5) model is on sale for Cyber Monday, saving you the price of a full game. This headset connects up multiple devices into one base station, including your PC, your Xbox, and Bluetooth devices on top. The charge dock ensures you're always ready to go, and it has some of the best config software out there. At this price, it's hard to beat.

XREAL One

XREAL One : was $579 now $399 at Amazon

While not technically a headset ... you do wear it on your head, and it does have directional speakers in the arms. So, I'm cheating and including it here. Want a headset that also works as a monitor? You can connect these up to your phone with USB-C and stream Xbox Cloud Gaming on a big virtual display, beamed straight into your field of view. They're enjoying a very beefy sale for Cyber Monday.

What are my absolute top Xbox headset recommendations?

The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 punches well above its weight as a gaming headset. (Image credit: Windows Central | Jez Corden)

I'm a video game content creator that actually uses Xbox as his primary platform. Crazy, I know. I've tested literally hundreds of Xbox headsets over the past decade, and I don't get paid per article, nor do I get a commission or own any shares. I just want to provide you with the best recommendations for Xbox, since, yanno, it's my job n' stuff.

So, my go to recommendation for "most" Xbox gamers remains the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 (Gen 3) headset. This headset is absolutely punching above its weight class for quality audio, but also quality construction and comfort too. The versatility of Bluetooth mixing is a nice bonus, and the flip-to-mute mic is always a welcome addition.

If you want to get a little more premium, the Astro A50 is a good shout. The convenience of always-charged via the base station is a nice touch, and this model now includes Bluetooth and instant switching between Xbox and PC on top. My main gripe with this is that it doesn't come with leatherette earcups out of the box (sold separately), but it's not a deal breaker, especially with its Cyber Monday price point.

SteelSeries Arctis Gamebuds

I love the SteelSeries Arctis Gamebuds. (Image credit: Windows Central | Jez Corden)

I'm always really impressed by the SteelSeries Arctis Gamebuds too. These earbuds beat big players from Apple to Samsung, while also being cheaper and more versatile. They're far more comfortable than Samsung Galaxy Buds or Apple Airpods, and have USB-C compatibility with both Xbox and PC to boot. Obviously, being earbuds, the mic quality isn't going to blow you away, but it's actually more than adequate for comms. The active noise cancelling is impressive, too.

Which ever headset you pick from this list, you won't be disappointed. They're all great in their own ways, whether it's a value option or a more extravagant "pro" option instead. If you have any questions, drop them in the comments, too!
