Gears 5 is an upcoming third-person shooter from Microsoft's The Coalition team. The studio has worked on Gears of War 4 in the past, and it wants to make the sequel an even bigger adventure. The game is also more advanced on a technical front. According to Gears 5's Multiplayer Design Director, the franchise will feature 60 Hz servers for the first time.

The game features a number of modes including Operations. According to developer The Coalition, dropping every three months, Operations will evolve the Gears 5 multiplayer experience with free new modes, maps, characters, major features, customization items, and more.

You can learn more about Operations by watching the video. Gears 5 seems like it's packed with a lot of content, hopefully, it'll be just as polished as the campaign.

Gears 5 should join Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One and PC on September 5 through the Ultimate Edition. It runs at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second on Xbox One X.
