The all-new 2025 Dell 14 Premium replaces last year's Dell XPS 14. Though it looks the same, it has updated internal hardware.

An $800 discount on the XPS 14 slashes one of the best Windows laptops to an excellent price. For $1,749.99 at Dell's storefront, you get a premium laptop with a 3.2K OLED touch display, an Intel Core Ultra 7 (255H) processor, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.

I've covered deals on this laptop since it was known as the Dell Premium 14. While the laptop's name may be a bit confusing, it's clearly a great deal at $800 off.

Why buy the Dell XPS 14?

(Image credit: Future | Daniel Rubino)

The XPS 14 is a premium laptop built for creators, power users, and professionals. It features a gorgeous 3.2K OLED, as highlighted by our friends at TechRadar.

A zero-lattice keyboard, large haptic trackpad, and a rigid aluminum chassis make the XPS 14 a strong competitor with the best MacBooks and the best Windows laptops when it comes to design. The XPS 14 also competes in performance with other premium PCs in the price bracket.

The ongoing RAM crisis has forced PCs with 8GB of RAM back onto shelves, which is far from ideal. The 16GB of RAM inside this XPS 14 will provide a much better experience than devices with less memory.

Dell XPS 14 vs Dell 14 Premium

As long as you're looking at an XPS 14 from the correct year (2025), there's no difference between the XPS 14 and the Dell 14 Premium. They're the same PC.

Dell ditched its previous naming scheme and rebranded the Dell Premium 14 as the XPS 14 recently. The old branding didn't enjoy enough success, and Dell resurrected XPS earlier this year, so it made sense to rename older models that are still on sale.

The Dell Premium 14 was always an XPS device saddled with a worse name. Tom's Guide called the Dell 14 Premium "an XPS in everything but name" in their review.

FAQs

Can you upgrade the RAM of the XPS 14?
