Intel is gearing up to bring its 9th Gen Core processors to a laptop near you.

Following their launch late last year, Intel's 9th Gen Core processors are finally nearly ready to make their laptop debut. Speaking on stage at CES 2019 today, Intel announced that its 9th Gen Core mobile processors will launch in Q2 2019.
Intel was mum on details other than the impending release timeframe, but the full complement of processors you've come to expect will be available here. That includes 9th Gen Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 chips.
As with previous laptop chips, it's likely that the mobile 9th Gen Core processors will beat out their predecessors, but come with some limitations compared to their desktop counterparts.
In addition to news of the forthcoming 9th Gen mobile chips, Intel revealed new additions to its 9th Gen desktop family will be available this month.

So in Q2 we'll have Whiskey Lake, which is the 2nd or 3rd iteration of Kaby Lake-R while we "should expect" next gen CPUs by fall 2019? Yeah right.
