Kids can learn to build a computer with this $99 Kano kit

Kano's 2017 Computer Kit is currently on sale at Amazon for just $99. This deal marks its lowest price ever. Its average price is nearer to $130 and its previous best price was $100 around Black Friday last year.

These computer kits are really neat. It's a great way to teach a kid, or anyone really, how to build a computer and what components go into building a computer. There are no technical skills required because everything is taught to you. Not only that, but once it is built it'll teach some basic programming languages like Python. You start with a Raspberry Pi 3 processor, case, keyboard, speakers, and the kit gives simple, step-by-step instructions on how to put it all together and get the circuitry working properly.

Once it's working, the Kit provides hours of coding challenges to learn the basics of Python, Javascript and Linux. You can even access the Kano operating system to play some of the free apps or games like Minecraft.

This kit doesn't come with a screen but it can connect to literally anything with an HDMI port. You can get Kano's Screen Kit for $105 and make your own HD screen to use with the computer kit and there's also a $40 savings on the Kano Computer Kit Touch that lets you build and code a tablet, if you just haven't learned enough already.
