Snag free digital rewards for watching The Game Awards on Mixer

Mixer, Microsoft's streaming service, is no stranger to handing out "MixPot" rewards, or digital goodies, for tuning in to big events on its platform. The next such event to feature a giveaway will be The Game Awards, a major industry event set to kick off on December 7.

According to Mixer, simply watching the awards ceremony on the official Mixer stream will net you some MixPot rewards.

Microsoft has previously used E3 and Gamescom streams to hand out rewards for tuning in, with viewers netting the Rare Replay bundle for Xbox One and various DLC for various games at each event.

The Game Awards will be broadcast live on The Game Awards Mixer channel starting at 5:30 p.m. PT / 8:30 p.m. ET on December 7 (find your local time here). You'll just have to tune in while signed in to your Microsoft account to snag whatever rewards the Mixer folks have in mind.

  • Based on how they handed the keys on the video stream previously, I highly doubt we can compete against those using bots to capture and consume the keys quickly enough. In this case it is just a waste of time if you are not interested in the stream itself.
  • What are you talking about? Mixpot are given to anybody watching the stream connected to Mixer using their Xbox account.
  • I can't say i'll be watching at 1:30am herein the UK.
