Rainbow Six Siege Operation Wind Bastion update now available

Following weeks of teasers and early testing, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege has received its next major update, Operation Wind Bastion. Headed to the sky-high peaks of Morocco, the free update wraps up the final season of Year 3 content, bringing new playable Operators, multiplayer map, and more to the tactical shooter.

Don't miss: Operation Wind Bastion packs some of the best Operators yet

Available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, Operation Wind Bastion is paired with a hefty, mandatory download for all. The new "Fortress" map explores a mudbrick kasbah, featuring a strong blend of close quarters encounters and long sightlines. New playable Operators, Nomad and Kaid, also make their debut for Rainbow Six Siege Year 3 Pass holders, with a wider public rollout scheduled for December 11.

Alongside flagship additions, Wind Bastion also brings refinements to existing features. Balancing tweaks have been made to existing Operators, while Ranked ditches night maps to improve competitive play. Other changes include a new throwable gadget system, cosmetics, and overhauled menu, expanding the ever-growing shooter.

Rainbow Six Siege Operation Wind Bastion is now available, via a free update spanning all platforms. If yet to play, new players can get started at $30 on Amazon.
