If you've been looking to pick up a Surface Laptop recently but were holding out for sales, now may be the time to strike. The laptop usually fetches a premium no matter the configuration, but the Microsoft Store is now knocking up to $300 off, depending on the model (via Neowin).

There are a couple of exceptions here. Namely, the Core m3 model and the Core i5 configuration with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage are at their normal prices of $799 and $999, respectively. However, every other configuration appears to have a pretty hefty discount applied. Here's a look:

  • Core i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage - $799 (was $999)
  • Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage - $1,099 (was $1,299)
  • Core i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage - $1,299 (was $1,599)
  • Core i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage - $1,899 (was $2,199)
  • Core i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB storage - $2,399 (was $2,699)

When we reviewed the Surface Laptop shortly after its release last year, we called it the "best Surface ever", with Windows Central Executive Editor dubbing it "Microsoft's MacBook." Dropping the price by up to $300 only sweetens the pot further. Though, keep in mind, the Surface Laptop hasn't yet seen a refresh with Intel's latest 8th Gen processors, so you're dealing with 7th Gen chips here.

It's unclear when the sale is due to end, but if you've had your eye on one of these models for a while, you can snag these discounts at the Microsoft Store now.
