Snag a $150 Microsoft gift card when buying select Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book models

Microsoft's latest promotion offers buyers a $150 gift card from the company's store when buying certain models of the Surface Pro 4 tablet or Surface Book notebook.
The gift card is available for people who purchase the Surface Pro 4 with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage that's priced at $1,299 (opens in new tab), or a Surface Book with the same specs, plus a dedicated GPU, for $1,899 (opens in new tab). The promotion will last until October 1 and the gift card code must be used by Sept. 19, 2017.
You can also save $150 directly when purchasing a Surface Book with an Intel Core i5 processor, 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. The discount, which lasts until October 1, cuts the price of the notebook down from $1,499 to $1,349 (opens in new tab). This offer does not come with the $150 gift card promotion.

Sweet but not available in My country

US-only or what?
-
Ah yes. Time to complain about US-Only because other countries never have exclusive deals. /s. D-bag

So I can go spend $1,300 and get a $150 gift card from MS, or I can go to Amazon and get the thing without a gift card for $230 less (currently $1,069.99). Why bother with the MS Store and being tied into a second purchase from them for more money? Amazon also has that $1,500 Surface Book for $1,333.18. Not as much of a savings as the Pro 4, but you're getting to keep your cash, rather than get a smaller kickback with a GC.

Seems like the UK has the better offer for insiders at least
