Microsoft has rolled out an update to the Surface Pro 3, bringing along a fix for some battery capacity woes some owners were experiencing.

While Microsoft successfully fixed one battery drain issue for some Surface Pro 3s, it looks like that same fix has caused a similar problem for others.

Microsoft has released yet another firmware update for its Surface Pro 3 tablet. It's the second such update for the product in less than two weeks.

A post from a Microsoft rep on the company's support forums says that reports about some Surface Pro 3 tablets experiencing issues with fast battery draining could be fixed with a software patch.
