The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will get a free upgrade on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC for anyone that owns the game. The technically enhanced version will include faster loading times, ray tracing, and other visual and technical improvements. The team behind the game shared the news on its website and on Twitter. The game will also include all DLC that's been released.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt earned rave reviews across just about every outlet, including us. In addition to being a solid game at launch, the title has earned praise thanks to its enhancements and DLC content that arrived post launch. That trend continues with the technically enhanced version that's on the way for the next generation of consoles and for PC.
If you don't already own the game, you will be able to buy the enhanced version as a standalone purchase on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC. No price details have been revealed for the standalone version at this time.
As reported by TechRadar, Projekt Red has confirmed that the free upgrade will be availalbe to owners of the base game, so you don't have to grab the GOTY edition or any other bundles.
