World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is the next major expansion for the long-running MMO that still attracts millions of players, and fans have been waiting for the expansion for a long while now. The expansion will enter the Shadowlands for the first time, a shadowy dimension of cursed souls and death that has been heavily referenced in World of Warcraft in the past, but has never been entered. At Gamescom 2020, we got a new trailer for the expansion, and an actual official release date!

The trailer should stir up excitement for any World of Warcraft veteran, but the release date at the end of it is by far the most exciting thing here. According to the trailer, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is coming October 27, 2020, so we only have two more months to wait before World of Warcraft receives another injection of content. If you're interested in getting into the game, you still have plenty of time to learn your way around World of Warcraft's extensive universe with previous expansions.
