A PC gaming headset with peerless sound and serious comfort that outperforms pricier rivals

Before the Razer BlackShark V3 Pro came along, one of our top gaming headsets was the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) for its long-lasting batteries and sublime audio quality.

However, the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro had a sibling called the Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed, which sacrificed portions of its build quality in favor of keeping its premium-grade sound at a lower MSRP of $129.99.

"With the same audio, wireless, and battery experience of the more expensive BlackShark V2 Pro (2023), this headset is an incredible value that bests much of the competition in almost every core category." ~ Zachary Boddy, former Staff Writer

Why buy the Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed headset?

As mentioned earlier, the Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed features many of the same qualities as the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (which we gave a perfect 5-Star review to).

These traits include the Triforce Titanium 50m Audio Drivers, which deliver rich, crisp, high-quality sounds, and a Hyperclear Super Wideband Mic with equal levels of audio quality when conveying your voice online.

The Razer BlackShark V2 Hyperspeed also includes comfortable memory-foam earcups that naturally block out background noise, over 70 hours of battery life, and extremely secure 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity.

The main differences the Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed has with its V2 Pro counterpart are that the V2 HyperSpeed's mic is non-detachable, its plastic build isn't as durable, and it lacks some of the pro-tuned sound profiles the V2 Pro headset has.

Other quibbles you need to know about this headset are it's lack of multi-source audio mixing and no compatibility with Xbox consoles.

If you can put aside these issues, then Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed is an excellent mid-range PC gaming headset for players who only care about rich sound quality, and with this $69.99 discount at Amazon, it's practically a steal.
