What you need to know

  • Bee Simulator was supposed to launch on Xbox One and other platforms in 2018.
  • The game is now available on the console after some delays.
  • The gameplay is exactly what the title suggests as you're a busy bee.
  • You can purchase Bee Simulator for $40 on Amazon.

Have you ever dreamt about what it would be like if you were a bee? What is it like to fly around, collect pollen, and possibly sting people? Well, a game called Bee Simulator is now available on Xbox One and other platforms. Bee Simulator was supposed to launch in Fall 2018, but was delayed by a year. Thankfully, the wait is over.

When the first rays of sunlight rise above the horizon, the beehive slowly wakes up. Hierarchy and diligence are vital for the wellbeing of the whole swarm. So you check your wings, measure the antennae degree of deviation, take orders from the Queen, and bee-gin your first independent mission.

You can purchase Bee Simulator for $40. Hopefully, the steep price is a sign of the game's quality. It also appears that Bigben Interactive is publishing the title because Varsav Game Studios is the original developer.

According to the Microsoft Store, the game runs at "4K Ultra HD" on Xbox One X and looks quite clear on a 4K display. Hopefully, an analysis by Digital Foundry will provide more answers.
