Cortana adds public transit reminders in US and UK to help you 'Get Around'

If you frequently use public transportation, Cortana has a nice little surprise for you. Cortana can now alert users in the US and UK about public transit, with notifications for calendar events, as well as updates on delays and outages on buses and trains.

The new option is found in the Getting Around section under Cortana > Interests. There, you can turn on calendar event updates and select to receive notifications about the best time to leave for an event on your preferred mode of transportation. In addition getting alerts for when it's time to leave for work or head home, you can also choose to receive notifications when the last ride is leaving.
