Cult hit 'They Are Billions' lands on Xbox One
Be on the lookout for this one!
What you need to know
- They Are Billions is a cult classic strategy game on PC.
- It finally launched on Xbox One with mouse and keyboard support.
- The console port isn't great with a controller.
- You can purchase it for $25 through the Microsoft Store.
They Are Billions is a cult classic zombie apocalypse strategy game set in a steampunk future, where humanity clings to a bleak existence in a dark world plagued by billions of zombies. The game is a success story on Steam, enjoying a large following and plenty of free updates, including a sizeable campaign mode.
After its successful PC debut, the game is finally available on Xbox One for $25. Unfortunately, it's controller control scheme is broken, so you'll want to play with a mouse and keyboard because it supports that on the console.
The gameplay is quite addictive and if you have a mouse and keyboard, you'll have a lot of fun. It's interesting how such experiences can be so mesmerizing when major "AAA" games fail to hit the mark, as has been the case in recent months.

In our review, we said, "It's equal parts satisfying and addictive, as you ascend the technology tree turning your settlement from a desperate campsite into a sprawling, steampunk metropolis. Sadly, the transition to console hasn't done the game justice, owing to awful controls and the omission of the campaign mode."

They Are Billions is a successful cult strategy game on Steam, but its translation to console hasn't been smooth, practically begging you to use a mouse and keyboard.
