Remnant: From the Ashes is an action game where you fight a variety of monsters. The world has been thrown into chaos by an ancient evil from another dimension. As one of the last remnants of humanity, you set out alone or alongside up to two other survivors to face down hordes of deadly enemies. The end-goal is to carve a foothold, rebuild, and retake what was lost. However, expect to die a lot while doing so.
Remnant: From the Ashes just launched on Xbox One for $40. The preorder bundle is still available for purchase on the Microsoft Store and includes some items to help you start out. The title is quite challenging and think of it has a more refined version of Conan Exiles.
We've been testing out the game on Xbox One X for roughly a day and it looks amazing. The resolution appears to be native 4K and, as is the case with any third-person action game, the performance is stable at 30 frames per second. Anyone who has played Gunfire Games' Darksiders III will notice many visual and thematic similarities.
