Ghost Recon Breakpoint goes up for preorder

Today, Ubisoft announced Ghost Recon Breakpoint, the latest installment in the popular Ghost Recon franchise. The game will be available from October 4 on the Xbox One family of devices, PlayStation 4, and PC. Unfortunately, it's not launching on Steam, so you have to go through the Epic Games Store to preorder on PC. According to the company, Ubisoft Paris has created an "entirely new adventure, putting players back in the boots of the Ghosts, an elite special operations unit, but this time they are stranded behind enemy lines, facing their toughest enemy to date."

As expected, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a military shooter set in a diverse and hostile open world. The game can be played solo or with up to four players. You'll discover Auroa, a mysterious island where the most technically advanced facilities meet untamed nature. It houses the headquarters of Skell Technology, which has fallen into the wrong hands.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint will hold a beta down the line, and if you want to play it, you'll have to preorder the game. However, there are a few editions to choose from.

  • The Gold Edition will include the base game and the Year 1 Pass.
  • The Ultimate Edition will include the base game, the Year 1 Pass, and the Ultimate Pack.
  • The Wolves Collector's Edition will include the base game, the Year 1 Pass, the Ultimate Pack, a figurine of Cole D. Walker, a SteelBook, lithographs, Walker's dog tag, a waterproof map of Auroa, and the soundtrack.

Everything you need to know about Ghost Recon Breakpoint

As expected, the base game starts at $60 and goes from there. Which edition will you choose? Let us know.
