When it comes to mini PCs, many of us at Windows Central often turn to Geekom, as they have regularly produced high-quality options that leave many of its rivals in the dust.

One of its best mini PCs we've tested, with fantastic performance and a desk-space-saving design, is the Geekom IT13, which is on sale for $599.00 at Amazon exclusively for Amazon Prime members.

"This mini PC might be small but it offers a healthy range of ports and provides steady performance. It houses a 13th Gen Intel Core CPU, Intel Xe Graphics (and) you can also upgrade storage and memory." — Rebecca Spear, Former Gaming and News Editor

Why buy the Geekom IT13?

Among the best mini PCs we've ever encountered, the Geekom IT13 remains our top pick for the "best overall" mini PC that everyone should own if they don't want or can't afford a dedicated PC tower or laptop.

This configuration of the IT13 comes packed with a VESA mount (so it can be attached to your monitor or desk), a compact design to make it easy to carry and preserve space on your work desk, and consistent, reliable performance rates when operating everyday apps like Microsoft Office or browsing the internet thanks to it's Intel Core i5 CPU with a max clock speed of 4.8 GHz.

It also includes a healthy variety of USB4-C, USB-A, and HDMI ports (that can support up to four 4K monitors), built-in Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, and a 1TB SSD and 16GB RAM (both of which can be upgraded up to 2TB and 64GB, respectively).

The only drawback of the Geekom IT13 is that it uses outdated DDR4 RAM instead of the current DDR5 RAM for faster performance rates, and it has a usually steep MSRP of $849.00.

But, if you happen to be a member of Amazon's Prime subscription service, you can avoid the latter issue as Amazon is selling the Geekom IT13 for an exclusive Amazon Prime discount of $599.00.

FAQ

Are there other benefits to Amazon Prime aside from exclusive discounts?

Yes, there are. Being a member of Amazon Prime nets you access to Prime Video where you can watch movies and shows like the Fallout TV series, Prime Music where you can listen to your favorite bands, same-day shipping, and more benefits.

Is the Geekom IT13 good for gaming?

Not especially, as its capacity to run video games effectively is held back by the lack of a GPU dedicated to gaming . As a result, the Mini-PC is better suited for casual browsing or productivity workflows.

Does the Geekom IT13 come with Windows?

Yes. The Geekom IT13 is pre-installed with Windows 11.

Can it overheat?

The Geekom IT13 has a well-made cooling system to prevent it from overheating and having its performance throttled. However, when its system workloads are pushed, the back vent can get very warm to the touch while its fan makes noticeable but not distracting noises.
