Here's what's been added, fixed and what's broken in Windows 10 Mobile preview build 14267.1004

Microsoft has posted up what's new, fixed and still broken in the Windows 10 Mobile preview build 14267.1004 sent to Insiders in the Fast ring.

Microsoft's Gabriel Aul stated:

"We're introducing Visual Voicemail for dual-SIM devices such as dual-SIM Lumia 950 XL! Work for this feature was in Friday's release but due to the above mentioned bug impacting notifications it was not working correctly. But now the experience should be working as expected."

There are a couple of bug fixes as well:

  • We fixed the issue reported by Insiders in Build 14267 where the Lumia 550 no longer charges or connects via USB. If you hit this issue on your Lumia 550 – we have laid out guidance on various methods to get back into a good state here.
  • We fixed the issue preventing Visual Voicemail notifications from happening.

In addition, Aul mentioned the People app in Windows 10 Mobile has an update which we reported on earlier this week:

"We've released an update to the People app that brings back the history feature. For a given contact you communicate with, you can view the interaction, whether by today, yesterday, last week etc. Right now, your Skype messages won't show up in history yet but we're working on enabling this in a future update. Also – we're tracking a bug in which opening an email item in history might not take you to that specific email."

Finally, there's a list of known issues:

  • If you have the Windows Feedback app pinned to Start, after upgrading from Build 10586.107 it will no longer show as pinned.
  • We are seeing reports from Windows Insiders of issues connecting to wireless displays. We're investigating.
  • When using Continuum on the Lumia 950 XL – the trackpad experience is not working correctly.

Just a reminder; this update is available for just a limted number of phones, such as the Lumia 950, 950 XL, 650, 550, the Xiaomi Mi4 and the newly added Alcatel Fierce XL.

  • Works for Ativ S too, if you edit registry ;) wow, I'm first... what am I going to do with so many girls now.
  • Nobody, I repeat NOBODY, should do this. Microsoft gather crash and reliance data from our phones and if a phone says it is another model and has issues... These reports will mess up the statistics Microsoft use to work with.
  • Well i guess messing up statistics should be of no concern. If they don't know how to filter out unwanted data, they shouldn't be working with it in the first place...
  • The phone is actively saying it is another phone...
  • No, you don't understand it. You just change your MANUFACTURER to NOKIA and it will get all the builds. The Phone NAME is till "Ativ S" so it reports itself to Microsoft as a "NOKIA ATIV S" so they know exactly what's up. I never changed my phone name, I've been getting all the builds on my "NOKIA ATIV S" ^^
  • This build is for x50-phones...
  • you are telling NOBODY should do this, because you maybe one with a 950/XL, and i guess 1 out of 1000 have new phone and 999 are waiting for the soon to turn into now, including me.  I dont why MSFT wants that one feedback and leave the 999. and yea i updated my LUMIA 1520 to 14267.1002 and it works great, no issue at all. so im fine. i have one of the two HIGH END Lumia phones (older) and its not in the first wave of update that is coming SOON, becasuse Feb 29 may be another joke, who knows.
  • They will get it... Why ruin the coming updates by sending erroneous data? It will mess future updates up...
  • if they cared about the data they collect, they probably had realeased it to more phones to get more data, or atleast explain the reason.
  • Why? What is the rush and why do you want to mess up their telemetry data? I wish they found a way to disable these phones.
  • Hmm I never thought of it that way Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Hopefully some people will stop messing with the statistics that MS relies on for hunting bugs.
  • well, the rush might not seem BIG to you, but there is a features that i had left tons of feedback about and a lot of ppl have been asking for this, that was not in .107 but its in the 14267.1002, its option to select 3G only.  my office is on 10th floor and we get poor reception for that or some reason, so the phone stays on 2G all the time automatically, even inside my home i get 2G only when half of bars 3G can still work better than what i get on full 2G. This for me is a VERY big reason for staying on it.
  • I had the 3G toggle on my XL on .107.
  • You didnt read my comment? i said 3G ONLY. not just 3G toggle everyone has that. check again closely and you will see, since you have an XL, how is the experience for you with this 14267.1002 and if you have already got .1004 how is it?
  • There is, in my opinion, no difference in my experience of 1002 or 1004 from 107 really.
  • okay, then i am updating my L1520 to the new Build too :P
  • Now now, you can't expect people to act patiently and responsibly! Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Just FYI. There is no 3G Only option in 1004. Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • There is a 3G only option in .1004 , updated the phone this morning,
  • id rather have windows gestures back :)).
  • I agree.. They should just wait.. **** Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • You do realize, that rolling out the build to other devices costs time and they therefore probably either do it later on or not at all because optimizing these builds for other handsets might slow down the overall rollout.
  • yea release it to the 10 950/XL and leave the 1000 L1520 users, i thot the purpose was to get feedback!!!
  • They do NOT want feedback from phones that aren't supposed to be running this build... Don't you see that?
  • Did you ever think that there's a reason for Microsoft doing this?  Maybe they were being bombarded with too much feedback so they decided to take feedback from a smaller pool. (those already on a production build) Once they get their issues ironed out, they might release to a larger audience.
  • It is a new branch so I thought that was obvious. Limit the problems until you know how it works initially.
  • OKAY MSFT IT WOKRS GREAT, NOW GIVE US THE W10M, instead of Windows Soon Mobile!
  • my 930 is lovign the 107 build of windows 10 definatly ready from prime release now.  Thinks like giving us back gestures.  Remobving or changeing hamburger menus and other refinments that are needed can be added in hopfully sooner rather than later but as of now my 930 loves win 10.
  • Removing hamburger menus isn't going to happen - At the same time, developers are free to not use them if they think that's better for their app. I think 10586.107 may be the release that goes out to the older devices, hopefully soon for those who didn't join the Insider Programme. I can barely remember WP8.1 it's been that long. I remember using my 930 when it was my main phone and it was running great for quite some time on Insider builds.
  • Who talked about removing hamburger menus? :P
  • Imagine the anger you would feel if you were on Android.
  • I have a 930, a 640xl.and a Note 5, I feel no anger!
  • Yes that in part is true since they opened up a new branch of insider as far as downloadable builds and hardware, they gave quite a few of us Lumia 950, and xls as well as display docks to test these NEW builds with NEW devices since windows 10 is Officially on these devices
  • They have already said that they are starting development on the Redstone branch update. Bcus of this they're going to top it out to the new phones first. It makes sense bcus other people can easily roll back. 950(/XL) and 550 used have bought a phone that can only run windows 10. So it makes sense to make sure there work first then if all is well, release to other insiders. (and I use a 640 and 535 so my comment can't be accused of having a biased view)
  • i dont have a 950 and never will i love my 930 and im waiting for a proper pemium flagship which the 950 is not(im taliking looks and body now not specs.).  But no all newer phones should recieve updates first, thats just fair.  The 1520 and 930 both came with 8.1 which was and still is awsome we should be greatful, like all older phones that microsoft is giving us windows 10, they weally didnt need too, hell android hadsets are not so fortunate, hel even iphones like the 4 still dont have siri lol.
  • Good points even though I know you would change your mind if you had a 950. ;)
  • They didnt have to? seriously!!! bro Windows on mobile is diffrent than android, we dont have more than %50 market share, ppl can switch devices if they want newer android version, but we cant, since you have 930 and i have 1520, we both know that there isnt any win phone 8 device that was better than this, and we should have never been left without upgrade. unfortunately 1520 didnt come with 8.1 so it wont get the w10m in the first wave. and i had enuf of this SOON, currently using .1004 on it :P i know some are upset but i am hoping i get w10m on 29th or days after.
  • You can switch to a newer phone too... The difference is that you can join the insider program and try out the builds that have been released for your phone (you can NOT do this with Android). Microsoft is not interested in knowing how Redstone works on mobiles running WP8 firmware yet... They need a first take on how it works on W10m firmware before rolling it out to WP8 handsets. Chances are Redstone will not come to any phone running old firmware at all. How can you not understand this? Besides... Both the 950 and the 950XL are a lot better than the 930 and 1520 respectively. I'm sorry, but that is a simple fact. Anybody who owns either of the newer phones can attest to that.
  • Spec wise of course 1520 is less than 950XL, but it has handled win10 better than 950XL, be it the firmware or hardware. thats the fact. not a single reboot, freez on 1520. i had to reinstall apps though. but its way too smoother than 950XL. That was very stupid to say that Redstone might not come to WP8.1.
  • How did you update your Lumia 1020? I think it's not in the list of the phones getting the update. Then how?
  • I have a Nokia Lumia 1020, I keep it updated to the latest build by being a Microsoft Insider on the Fast Ring. I don't have any problems on my 1020 at the present time and I do have the latest build.
  • Why are you putting Windows 10 on your old phones? It will only make them worse, keep the OS that was designed for the phone....
  • Yeah, wait until it is released or use the preview for what it is for.
  • Don't talk BS. You can turn telemetry off and return phone manufacturer back to original. 1 min job. Anyway, after hard reset, values are back to default so everything is OK. Like they'll take Microsoft Ativ S feedback seriously. Don't be funny. And next time, if you didn't done it and don't know what is it, don't talk about things you don't know. Peace Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • You are the one abusing the insider program. I do hope they just disable your phone.
  • Yes. I guess program will cry to its mommy about it. So sorry about that.
Come on, don't be ridiculous. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Keep it up. You're the true star of the community and makes all the work put into opening up the insider program to "average joe" truely worth it.
  • Don't be PITA. Live in your box and leave people alone. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Yup yup. Keep ruining it for the rest of us.
  • nothing is being ruined,  i mean look at what you are saying, my firmware is still of a L1520 the name is still 1520 it just says Microsoft Lumia 1520, but all the other figures tell that its not a 950XL , so be realistic or give me a DATE when my phone wil get W10 if you know so much about MSFT telemetry crap.
  • Of course it is being ruined. You bypassed the registry which tells the Microsoft Insider Program if your phone is eligible for this branch. The statistics you send is that a 950 XL has the problems your phone has even though it isn't even a 950 XL. To put it into a car analogy. You call Volvo and say you are test driving their newest car and you have found some serious faults. If enough people do this Volvo will waste valuable development time to track down faults that aren't even there. You are wasting time from the Windows 10 release. And what I know, the 1520 is eligible for getting insider builds, so you shouldn't have to lie about what phone you own. You are just being selfish and want even newer builds than are available to it.
  • MSFT clearly said that only Phones on W10M are getting , the ones on WIndows SOON Mobile are not !!
  • You are wrong, sorry.
  • Dude, Changaizee's comment? I mean how hard is it to understand that they get data with the name of 950 but all the other specs and software information tels it is a lumia 1520? If you know anything about data collecting and coding you would now it takes literally 5 to 10 lines to exclude such a data from the real 950's. So stop fooling everyone because they just don't know how it works... Unfortunately for you, we do know how it works. Sorry mait.
  • People are bypassing the checks which gives erronous data collected. That isn't hard to figure out now, is it?
  • Read my comment again and watch wat you just said...
  • What makes changing the registry make the Insider program let you install software that is NOT released for your phone?
  • I am very courious if you are so "correct" in real life to, when it comes about helping old people cross the street, giving money to the poor. Throw the garbage where it belongs, and not on the street. Lift the garbage other ******** have thrown on the street. Pick up your Dog poop (if you have one), jump if someone needs help or at least call 911, 112 or whatever is the call code where you live, let old people sit down in public transport. Help handicaped through obstacles. Say, bless you when a stranger sneezes and the list is long. I am sure your aren't, so please stop being such a stufft person when it comes to technology. You can't lie MS about your problem;). They see the hardware where the problem came from, a name only helps you to install that does not mean it lies to them;). Mister "correct"!
  • Of course I am, it is common courtesy? You mean you do not do this??
  •   Just shut up with your sanctimonious crap
  • If you replied to me and you are not twelve years old, I feel sorry for you.
  • Hello couple of weeks ago, Microsoft sent messages telling insiders to run a production update on your phone that placed a firmware update, then up to date insider builds. I don't know how that worked for everyone.
  • Who are you anyway? Is it only your opinion, your thoughts or are you talking on behalf of Microsoft? Do you have facts that it will ruins their telemetry? I never read any official statement like yours from MS
  • Changing registry is not an option though
  • Yea this doesn't even make enough sense to respond to.
  • It kinda defeats the purpose of being in Insiders' Fast if others hand to wait till official build.
  • You will not have to wait til official build.....

  • the insider program is a crap anyway. It doesn't make a difference if you hack your phone to get a build or not, MS is still very far from a working OS! What is the result of the insider program after a whole year for win10mobile?? A still messy, buggy, half baked OS!
  • i have to disagree, my lumia 930 has been runing win 10 since the begining, yes microsoft took its time bringing the simple things to my phone and yes theres been ups and downs but my phone has been a daily driver for months, and right now as of the last build 107 it is ready for prime release on my lumia 930 cause well everything works.  Theres improvements and changes i want to see in the future but as of right now the build is stable fast and definatly prety much bug free as you can get on new software.   Its ready for the lumia 930 for prime time.    And no i dont use my phone to just make calls and texts, i use daily, netflix, plex, kodi remote, a few games like beach buggy or asphalt (games lack in windows store big time.), i use instagrap(6tag) you tube(metrotube and tubecast), twiter, outlook for all my email accounts some linked tiles some seperate tiles, my calender, cortana, cause she rules, whats app, skype, photos my camera(about 2 times a week),music cover for reading, facedbook(but i keep it turned off casue i dont use it every second like other social tools i love.  I useSpotify, mixed radio imdb, dairy budy egde(average not great).  So I do alot more than these apps but these are the ones i do every 24 hours and i get a full day from my over 1 year old 930 too.  None of them have crashed or show any issues since the 107 build, hel even before the 107 a update on plex or netfix was the only issues i have encountered for the last 2 months.   In cortana, i ask when the next movies performances are onl, remind me to get or do things at specific times or when i arive at specific locations, i play all my music via cortana on both mobile and desktop, i even have started searching useing cortana, shes shes great on both desktop and mobile, strangely hey cortana works flawlessly on my desktop but its hit and miss on the mobiel, but i dont mind that little thing. So you see i have no problems with my 930 working on anything i have mentioned above, so to me its ready for prime time.  Yes i miss gestures beta alot and i think hamburger menu doesnt belong on a windows phone but i get it and im actualy happy with the windows 10 mobile curently.  Future will refine it but plse microsoft gestures beta and apple pay now.
  • I have noticed a hell of a difference since 107 build stable as hell, no crashing or hangs quite happy with the insider program.
  • You see how wrong you can be when you don't know what you are talking about?
  • You seriously have no idea what you are saying, in fact , i think you have not been an insider yourself. The OS way much polished as compared to the build back in may, june. at the moment it has no issues at all, missing features only, and win phone have evolved so much in a year. who says that android doenst have issues, as an example i have a Nexus 5 which( i wud never buy one) i just have just to say. so Google launched 6.0 for it i guess in October, i was bored as hell so i decided to play with it and updated it to the 6.0 from 5.1, no doubt it was improved alot in years and i like the consistency of the peformance, battery has improved too, but nothing compared to windows battery performance, anyways i updated to 6.0 and it made the phone reboot on its on then ended up in a boot loop, i thot flashing from scracth might help so downloaded the image of the OS and flashed it with the new update, but the same thing, so i went back to 5 and locked the phone back in my drawer. one of my friend ended up in getting a battrey issue on his phone and this issue has not been resolved by apple so far i think, i may be wrong but it alot of time months i think to get this str8. i have a 2 year old phone and it has no issue iwth the latest build .107. NO ISSUE at ALL.
  • Listen I have a little bit of respect for Dusan Randj because he is honest is not afraid to back his point, also somewhere along the line he will be helping the program, do you think that Microsoft don't notice things like that.
  • He will never help the program since he rather use the Insider program and disable the telemetry-tools just to get the latest updates than help out with bughunting. (He said so above)
  • i wana say that too, DUDe get a life, im sure he has been giving feedbacks and been using insider builds to test them, and pp; can be impatient, i know i was when i decided to do the hacking to get this build i still gave feedback and have been giving feedback, i thnk it was for my feedback that they added the 3G only feature back in the redstone, :P wordflow in edge address bar etc
  • Wait... What do you mean by editing registry ? I have The Ativ S too but Insiders builds was too scary for me
  • Don't do it.
  • I reset my registry. I don't want this to be delayed Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Good!
  • There are tutorials in forum. But if you are worried about your phone, don't do it. There is much bigger chance for Ativ S to get bricked.

  • your phone cant handle redstone, and the features it brought, it best you stay on the .107 works great.
  • Did people not learn their lesson the last time they downloaded an insider build to an unsupported phone? In fact, I think it was the Ativ S...
  • How does Windows 10 speed in terms of boot time, apps launch time and overall OS responsiveness compare to Windows 8?
  • What about the other phones? Are they going to stay in TH2? we will get .107 updates (polished & bug free) in official release ?

  • It works well for 1gb and above devices now. 512mb is not worth the upgrade, but at least 1gb finally works. Edge still needs help though.
  • Im on a 1520 and it works like crap. Smooth for sure, but freezes, long app resuming and loading times, synch issues, crashes, and now when I shut down my phone it restarts by itself. And so on and so on.
Its crap on 1520 Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • No... It is crap on YOUR 1520. Plenty of people having no issues at all. So do not blame the OS because something is messed up on your end.
  • that definetly a hardware issue, i have seen 3 1520 with w10 on .107 including mine on .1004, have no issues at all, i think its the smooothest on 1520, performing better than 950s too :D
  • Happy u
  • I had issues at first when update was pushed down on 1520.  Suspected that it was due to upgrading from windows 8.1.  Reset the phone 1520 using reset feature.  Then it reinstalled windows 10 mobile and works great.  love it.

  • I gave them more than four years since windows mobile 7 on a Samsung focus and people still want us to wait patiently yo continue to be a Beta tester
  • Looking back at WP7 it makes you wonder how they got so many new and innovative features into the OS at launch while in comparison this OS seems to add one feature every other month. And even then its just replicating what was there in previous versions.
  • Those are some nice rose tinted glasses you got there. WP7 was a major step back from WM6.5.5 feature wise.
  • It would have been funny if the first release of W10M didn't have copy-and-paste or multitasking, just for the sake of throwback
  • On the desktop it feels like that happened to me... =s
  • Still remember waiting eagerly for that update (NoDo I think?) on WP7 - Good times...Better times now with W10M though
  • That NoDo update seemed like it took FOREVER.
  • Well Paste from the icon bar is broken in Edge in current builds so it's not far off. When I say "broken" I mean its availability on the bar when content is on the clipboard is hit and miss. More often than not, Paste is greyed out. Yet press and hold in a text area and Paste is available in the context menu.
  • Yeah, but nobody cared much compared to that iPhone...oooh. =p
  • WP7 was an innovative product that brought a LOT of features not really seen before. It's initial shortcomings (copy and paste, ahem) have been made a lot of, but, the social integration, live tiles, things like the camera button lock launch, even the swipe-to-camera-roll feature were awesome at the time. Even the animations were innovative (door effect for start menu tiles, the spin-in heading animation). His point is, basically, right now we are marveling at getting (some) features like these back. (And those transitions are gone, replaced by an iphone/android fade.) But we aren't seeing anything particularly new or innovative except Continuum. Even calendar lost its real month view. When are they going to announce something new UI-wise that other platforms don't have/have better?
  • Oh yea, I got his point. My point is a lot of the things that WP7 brought were already present in WM6.5.5, which at initial launch was worse than WM except for the app store. Those innovations were just WM rehashes in an arguably not much better UI. NOW we think of tiles as innovative but after using pretty much any UI/launcher you wanted for years in WM, it was a step back and needed some time to get used to. NOW we think of lock launch as gold but there were mods that did that in WM. The HTC Touch had awesome animations before WP7 was concieved. There was even work being done to post to Facebook from your WM default home screen. My point is what seems like innovation now because Android and Apple have copied was, at the time, kind of meh.
  • I can't see any better way to explain it than you. Totally agree.
  • True. And I loved what they had done with windows phone 8 with the more modern feel and the hubs and just all the upgrades. But ever since 8.1 came Microsoft keeps upgrading the os to the worse.
It really hurts >:( Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • iOS also didn't have copy + paste IIRC (never owned an iPhone but seem to remember it being a sticking point for some people way back at the beginning of the iPhone)
  • Dude...2018. It's standard timeline with Windows, just now its running in a public cadence. =p
  • you can add 2-3 years more..ohh wait, until then it will be history, gone, dead...ups it is already dead
  • lol i found the comment funny, but not without that air of truth lol.
  • Dang... was hoping for a bullet point saying they brought back the integrated Bing search panes in Cortana.
  • This is actually happening in Redstone just not this early.
  • Link to your source for credibility?  (Of course there won't be, this is the WC comments section, where we're all our own imaginary sources...)
  • Yep, you won't get a reply from this guy now.
  • Bing looks horrible on windows 10 mobile. They should revamp the ui seriously.
  • They should sort out Cortana too. It looks like they're just cut out the info from another page and placed it on a slightly different colour page with Cortana icon. Just a simple change in colour shade so the two match -so it doesn't look like a centred strip of Info) -would do alot :p
  • thats not a bad idea, have you put it on the insider feedback app? id vote.
  • I did a few builds back, but forgot to do it again. Might add is as some more recent feedback. Thanks for the reminder :)
  • It's up now :) in "Cortana and Search" "Cortana Search UI". Just hopefully alot of people agree :p
  • Constantly ignoring mobile platform. promised toh give it in 2015 looks like they will not be able to provide a stable build ever
  • TH2 is actually finally stable. These first editions of Redstone aren't, obviously.
  • Stable doesn't mean it's ready though. So many bugs in Feedback that are every day annoyances/regressions/could&should be improved. A new OS should WOW rather than make people say "Wasn't this thing tested?" "Didn't anyone give feedback and suggestions on how to do this better?", which is how I feel.
  • Doesn't seem like a worthwhile update on phone. Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • It's a worthwhile update when coupled with the last one. This basically fixes bugs introduced by the last build.
  • And the next build fixes bugs that come with this one. But NO build fixes crashing, black screen, battery over drain, stuttering and so on
  • Probably because those are not bugs but rather something seriously messed up with your phone.
  • stop eating sh*** and defending MS for evey crap they release!
  • Either _everyone_ can reproduce the bug or the problem is local.
  • Nah I don't really think its my phone. Its ms not developing for some phones but one os for all. Most of the 1520 users here in the forums have those issues and it really starts being more then annoying Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • What "most" are you talking about? First of all... People who post on a forum for problems will say they have problems... But I see more posts about how smooth and stable the most recent builds is on the 1520 than people complaining about it.
  • I've had trouble with Cortana, long press not working, since the last build. Did you?
  • i'm getting terrible freezes on 1002. And after soft reset, there's a small chance the start screen never shows up until another soft reset (even though a normal reboot is possible, it doesn't fix it... start screen doesn't come back til a soft reset).
  • Uh yes it is. I would like to get visual voicemail back.
  • When do other phones get this!!! Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • When u buy 950, you will have it. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Right now it's early stages of the Redstone Branch. So when it's more stable, it's likely we'll get it :)
  • Why is it that I am on preview list but I cant get this build?
  • What phone do you have?
  • your phone is no longer relevant to them
  • Stop trolling... This branch has been out a few days...
  • You need to buy a new one. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Too many devices to hunt down all the bugs for these very first editions of Redstone if they included older devices. They are using older devices for the previous branch to work out the last bugs for the official release to older devices. Once the official release has taken place, we should see older devices included in Redstone previews.
  • It's currently only for 950, 950 XL and 550. (they said it's because they are beginning the Redstone branch so I'm assuming once it's stable enough, they'll release it to a larger pool of people. Makes sense because if they released to to a large pool straight away, I guarantee they would have just got a HUGE amount of "It's sh**" and "Omg MS don't care" on their feedback more than actual feedback XD)
  • Well I'll be... they finally caught enough hellfire for the dual sim VVM thing to fix it.   Meanwhile Android gets a slick lock screen with geo fenced PIN disable and a fancy keyboard... you know features that could be in your own OS FFS!
  • Geofenced PIN disable sounds like a really neat idea.
  • Samsung has already done that. Geofenced, conected to known Wi-Fi, connected to known Bluetooth. To disable lock screen security.
  • Sony has this too, but limited to whichever Bluetooth device you choose. Very convenient when connected to my car.
  • So it means those doing apps for android are better developers than those doing apps for windows? or its the OS that gives them the room to do better apps. or Maybe those working for W10M use Android phones or Iphones so they dont really experience these frustrations W10M users suffer! Upto now i wonder why we have un editable contact labels (mobile 1, mobile 2, home 1 ect). this confuses very much if you have one contact with several contact numbers that depends on the contacts' type of business. OneDrive pin request was better implemented perfectly on 8.1 but a non user just decided to change that on W10M.
  • You do realize that those are separate teams that build those Android apps, right? That's the Microsoft Research team, not the Windows team. They do have thousands of employees.   Note to mods: I accidentally clicked the report button. This was completely unintentional, and I can't undo it.
  • Are you serious now?
  • Thanks
  • So basically no issues fixed on the 1520. Gg
  • one of the major bug on windows 10 Mobil Is Copy-Paste !!! I Think Microsoft Dont care of this, because they can't fix this simple issue
  • Ihate this insider crap thing: Just a reminder; this update is available for just a limted number of phones, such as the Lumia 950, 950 XL, 650, 550, the Xiaomi Mi4 and the newly added Alcatel Fierce XL. Just release it for all!
  • This update is a fix for the problematic units you mentiuoned. If your unit is not mentioned then you are lucky.
  • Later on, the insider will just be available to those phone. *Evil Laugh* Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Does anyone remember the beginning of the insider program? It was on a limited number of phones too. It rolled out over time as the builds became a little bit more stable. That's how development works. If you see something is restricted, find out if there's a reason first, then complain. This is *completely* and *absolutely* best business practice. To do what you mentioned is ridiculously dangerous, even if they force you through a EULA.
  • The day when it was announced that the 1520 wasn't included in the first preview release was the most hilarious day in WC history.
  • This update mainly fixes issues specific to those phones, why release it for all if there is little to no data to gain from extensively testing it on non-problem devices? If this build had important fxes for your device they would have probably made it available for your device, but since your device wasn't the target of the fixes, it would just add more noise than normal to the data they are collecting to make sure the problem was fixed for good.
  • Huh ? I don't even update since 3 small build releases.
I just mean, most of the 1520 users have those issues. And the fact that ms won't include the best phone they released on the list of priorities is ******* lame. Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Saying something is "best" is very subjective... It is also a WP8 handset without finished firmware. They are interested in testing the next version of Windows 10 which is going to run on Windows 10 firmware.
  • why dont you post a video of you 1520 with bugs, I wil upload mine, with the smoothest w10m experience and no issues at all, even when switching between 15 open apps.
  • How should i make a video of that ? Huh ?
  • "we are investigating" wow... :D that happens when everyone in that company is using iPhone and not their own product.
  • This community is getting super toxic.  Your negativity is not helping.  Switch to a different platform if you're not happy where you're at.
  • Exactly. We get two insider releases in relatively quick fashion, and the amount of complaining is mind-numbing. Just switch already, or leave the insider program.
  • I couldn't agree more.  I used to enjoy reading the comments but now they are so negative that I find myself mostly just looking at headlines to see if any new technology or builds have been released.  It reminds me of how some folks act when they are losing at a sporting event and they resort to fighting or dirty plays just to feel a little better.  In this case, they slam Microsoft because mobile is not where they want it to be.  Critiquing is one thing but the threads are out of control and proving to be of little value.  I rather the approach of cheering on the platform makers.  Mentioning areas for improvement but cheering them on.  If the platform no longer works, they really ought to switch or find a kinder gentler way of expressing concern.  Hey but that's just me.  We all have the choice of being hopeful, optimistic and cheerful or dark, pessimistic and pissed off.  I prefer the former.
  • Yeah ? But he's right :p Nadella and most of the other guys from the company hell even here in germany use iphones and samsung devices. :D
And you know why ? Because win 10 mobile is not made for power users Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • I want a source that shows that most people including Nadella use an Iphone. How can you say they are using Iphones and then say Windows 10 is not for power users?
  • idk how come you say that w10m isnt for power user, i use my 1520 all the time for stuff that most pp do on the LT, i ditched my LT year ago, i even download on my phone, just downloaded a 13GB ISO on the my 1520 emails, all of the browsing streaming etc not a fan of gaming but do play guitar flash alot like for hours, that is like listening to music and playing at once :P, if this isnt power using then **** beep beep beep
  • I think the toxicity is what happens when the community fractions and formerly-devoted fans feel abandoned (which I mean, in reality, they are abandoned.) Paul Thurott is basically vicious about Windows Mobile now, and the community is cracking up. To be expected I imagine. :-/
  • I agree with that as the root cause but I'm disappointed that it's the position the community has taken because it's less and less fun reading the comments. I just think that we need to channel our frustration in a direction that's helpful. However it's likely too late for this site unless the editor intervenes and helps shape the tone of the site.
  • Not to be expected. Unless everyone on here is a superdec that can code in an instant, then leave it to MS engineers. I watched as iPhone took until theb3GS, to get on the right track. It took them 3-4 years, just to dial in the basics correctly. MS's nascent OS, has advanced features that iOS still doesn't have. Someone mentioned the copy & paste debacle in wp 7. I remember when iOS didn't have it either and wm 5 had it years before. But now everyone is just bitter. Not because Ms isn't trying hard to do what they want them to, but because they haven't already don't it. It's like dealing with a bunch of brats bow, in these comments. I agree with every poster, that says "if you don't like it, iOS and Android are on the other side of the door..." Because for those of us who are staying, because we enjoy the platform, we want the features, but were tiered of all the complaining, ad nauseum. Upvote what you want in the feedback app, and stfu already.
  • You have to admit it's pretty stupid that most Microsoft employees don't use Windows phones... Anyone who isn't involved in development of OS X, iOS or Android applications should be using a Windows phone, their competitors enforce this on their employees, and looking at who is ahead in the game right now, it seems to be the right thing to do...
  • Why wouldn't they use Windows-phones? I know that most of the MS employees in Sweden has Windows Phones and other handsets to gather knowledge about them.
  • Can the 630 take this update?
  • No
  • So now Microsft wll forget all other devices Come on lets get  these updates to all Lumia's
  • They did this last time too. They only allowed a few of the newer devices into the new branch. Every few builds, they let in a few more models. This is normal for any company during testing. You don't test on every device out there right out the gate with a brand new build.
  • Band 2 keyboard and Cortana still broken?  Yup. Still broken.  Wake me up when I can use my $250 hardware to do the things it says it can do on the package.
  • Okay but in exchange you have to wake me up when windows 10 is released to all the lumias
  • You're going to be like rip van winkle Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • try to set your alarm, maybe you get lucky and it works :))) funny thing, everytime someone tells the hard truth here, gets voted down :))) Seems fanboys really think that voting down will change people's mind :)))))
  • Do a factory reset. Fixed my band with the last build
  • Still need to add two fixes to make me consider my 950XL as a "flagship device".... WiFi connection stability on 5GHz bandwidth Double-tap-to-wake functionality
  • If you don't mind charging your phone every hour or so they can surely deliver Double-tap-to-wake... It's a screen tech issue (you would be complaining if they hadn't gone for a 4k AMOLED screen like the competition...)
  • Really? My Lumia 930's battery is just fine and D-T-T-W is all I use.
  • The lumia 930 .. Is the same device as the 1520 with the same battery dude. Just smaller and without glance screen and without micro sd Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • What does the 1520 have to do with this?
  • Mate the 930 has a smaller battery than the 1520 Posted from my Lumia 1520 high on Windows 10 Mobile
  • So? My point is the 930 battery still lasts a decent amount of time when using DTTW. The 950XL, with a a larger battery *should* still be okay if it has DTTW, provided some Windows Insider Preview Build doesn't bork it.
  • Double tap is hardware based not software. The double tap to wake up is a thing with the camera. If the camera wasn't made for that I don't think it will work.
On the other hand the 520 got it as well so idk... Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • The 950/950XL has double-tap-to-sleep so I can't see why they can't incorporate wake as well.
  • ?!?! Facepalm.. That fact just ... Oh wtf Microsoft!?!?
  • Sigh... When the screen is on, so is the digitizer... DTTW needs an active digitizer while the screen is off.
  • Coming Soon.... 2035 is the year folks!!!

  • To be honest . Windows 10 desktop isn't really beta anymore. Or well when you consider it beta it really works waaaaay better. • When they are taking so much time to fix problems of inbuilt new windows 10 mobile...then guess how much time they will need to fix problem of the mobile while upgrading to windows 10(old)
I think they are not giving proper attention to the mobile department or they are unable to continue the progress?
  • They actually spent quite a while working out most big issues of the migration process... 3 whole builds last year were about nothing other than the upgrade experience... The Insider Program exists to make sure that people like you that aren't part of it get the best possible experience afterall... so patience, it will be done when it's done, and not a minute earlier.
  • Waiting for something else than.xxx and no change. One fixed other broken. I am wondering if i'll get back to Android wich i used for 7 years. Now even if i have a flagship Lumia 950, the OS is a big mess. And it looks like they don't know what to do.
  • 1+
  • I've had literally 0 problems with my Lumia 950XL.  Maybe I'm just lucky.  I use a 950Xl and a brand new Blackberry Priv. The priv is a really beautiful phone but my battery is at 20% halfway through the day still... Android is still slower in some areas and the battery life isn't much better than it was when I was on Android 2.3 many years ago.  The grass is greener over there I guess.
  • Shhhhh... it's not proper WC etiquette to admit that your 950-series phone is working properly.  Now correct yourself and admit that it reboots 17 times a day and only gets two hours on a full charge.  Also accepted: email and text notifications never work, it gets so hot that you run your a/c in the winter, and your neighbors complain about the noise from the creaking back cover

  • Nah, you're actually wrong about the state of w10 on the x50-series.
  • What the actual ****. They're only just investigating the wireless display issue? I haven't been able to project to my Xbox One at all since I've been using windows 10. BOTH mobile and laptop. Get the lead out guys. Seriously. How am I supposed to help spread word of mouth stuff when I can't even demo **** to friends and acquaintances?....
  • Microsoft need to have a motivational speech with it development team seriously if they are not building for Apple they can care less about mobile
  • Have you tested any other WDAs? Not saying there isn't an issue, but if all you have to go off of is the Xbox One, the app is far from perfect (but getting better). When the communication unexpectedly ends, you have to fully close and reopen the Xbox One's app before it will let the same device reconnect reliably (among other minor issues). The experience is a lot better with other Adapters like MIcrosofts'

  • that's usually hardware dependent. a lot of current chipsets have the radios on the same chip and therefore you can't just turn off some of the radios. older chipsets had them separated so you could cut power to one chip.
  • Just when you thought the harbingers of doom had fled..... Posts about "ridiculous behaviour" are, erm ridiculous behaviour. Why would new builds put you off a 950? These builds are previews for devices 'DESIGNED' to run w10m that, as we know, have had issues from release. I would Hazzard a guess that these are being sent to OEM's as well for appraisal and development of their hardware. Gabes twitter feed said THIS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO OTHER DEVICES dependant on bugs / issues reported back by those '50' series devices, and OEM devices. Those who persistently moan about the OS, were also those who were strangely patient for the WC app, which also needed bug fixes. Go figure :-)
  • When are they going to update the Phone app?! This is the worst one by now!
Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Ive had to restart my phone at least three times a day, simply because every app try to open will crash after three seconds. Restart, it works fine for a bit, then crash.
  • Im still on WP 8.1 and it crashes all the time. Same problem
  • Stick to using a rock :D Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Faster, much smoother build.
  • Question.....How many on here ACTUALLY report issues? Must be amusing in the feedback department. Thousands of downloads, yet hundreds of reports. I guess some just have to have the latest stuff to moan about and feel 'included' in the topics. Bad news is remembered. What's good isn't.
  • Hello. I do all the time when the automatic prompts come up.
  • when a problem occurs do you report it on your own? that's the big one.
  • Hey there. Yes I do. Not only problems but also when I think of something that can be useful whether for my Lumia 950 XL or windows 10 mobile in general.
  • Then, you're not really one of the folks that Mad Cabbie was referring to. I believe he's more targetting the people who complain about everything but probably don't post any feedback (or very poorly worded feedback... ever see the ones on there that simply say "doesn't work" with no other details?)
  • I know this sounds stupid, but I dont know how lol I get confused. They have the insider app thing where you can vote on ideas but that doesn't seem clear to me if that's where I report errors. Am I making sense?
  • Yes you're making sense. The windows feedback app allows you to submit errors Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Yes. I do. I do not have the right to moan and ***** of I don't take an active part in the program. Then again, I'm a patient chap :-)
  • Probably very few if any.  After all, it is easier to just b*tch and moan in the comments on these articles, rather than actually participate.
  • Hey did anyone else notice that there were only 8 steps to "migrating your data"? That makes me happy! Of course, visual voicemail makes me happy too. :)

  • And will always be seem the developers working on it do not care and are like why nobody cares or uses windows mobile anymore
  • My 950XL is in 'Loading....' mode for last 30 minutes... Just waiting to see how long it takes and what comes up next.... MS seems to be full of half backed developers!
  • Yeah they are really lacking
  • i had this issue since the first redstone build. try doing a soft reset (even if you can shutdown properly, don't... just force shutdown. when i got stuck that way and couldn't get a start screen, no amount of rebooting properly fixed it, but a 'dirty' shutdown fixed it for me. the only time this happened to me is the phone froze on me and i had to do a soft reset (since everything was frozen and couldn't shutdown properly) but when it came back up, i had the "loading..." that wouldn't go away and the action center wouldn't open. in that scenario, a soft reset was all that helped me.
  • So I am not the only one! Phone needs lots of babysitting!!!!.... We have to work on the phone instead it should be working for us!
  • If you are on insider... Why?
  • Im glad to see you guys with the Windows 10 flagship phones with all the basic simplest features missing are happy.
  • i'm confused as to what your goal with that statement is. honestly, i'm confused at a lot of people posting negatively here. Microsoft is *not* trying to waste money. It's ridiculous to assume that they are just fiddling their thumbs. they most likely have a small development team because their budget is probably tied to revenue. if they don't make a lot of money, they don't get a big budget. so yeah, its going to be slower. its not like every employee at microsoft is working on this. if you don't like it, then leave. there's no point to stay around and be cynical about it.
  • I agree. I will leave soon. No point being so negative, they just don't give a ****.
  • That's BS. They are part of the devices division which has the highest revenue so your argument holds no water. Try again.
  • Good rebuttal, continue to be negative please. Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Dang I was hoping to see something constructive from this comment section. I guess bashing is the best I can expect... I have a ATT 950 and have been impressed so far. No major drawbacks, camera has been stellar, battery life great, minor reset issues (once a week tops), call quality and texting experience have been great. Maybe if I jump to Android I'd see what I've been missing, but there is nothing in my standard day that has been hindered by this phone. I love updates as much as the next person, but really how much are these "epic features" that are so needed going to change the way you go through your day. Ok I'm done. Let the negative replies begin.
  • Not trying to be negative, but some have had poor experiences, others good.
  • I have the same experience with my 950. It's just working great, and I am a very happy windows 10 mobile user. Besides I don't get all the negative comment about an insider build release. The insider program is an awesome way for users to interact with Microsoft and one of the things I really like about the windows platform
  • I agree, but some are like magpies and want the shiniest stuff. Shame they didn't spend the time reading the insider disclaimer, or at least try to be positive. And now, to top it off, we have this "them and us" fiasco. Gabe has a twitter feed. Don't gripe go read it and you will see that they are looking to roll it out depending on the bugs etc that get reported. Arrrgghhh Grow up!! The insider program was for those who wished to take part in the future of WM, not those who have to have the latest then gripe. I bet Gabe just stands there scratching his head wondering why thousands of downloads and a few reports!
  • This is some kind of bullshit from MS. Is this the second release in a row dedicated to Lumias with W10 out from the box like L950? Not to mention that on my L920 every W10 build acts like Android OS. The longer the OS is installed the bigger lag is present on opening the apps.
  • Ive been holding off on install of last update because of the lack of vvm. Looks like I can take the plunge now!
  • I think Microsoft has no plans for official releases.. No stable builts app crash bugs.. I mean we are using a phone.. Which is out dated and full of bugs.. I regret buying a windows phone
  • I regret buying a 950 But I disagree with you on a few parts. Many phons are released buggy and never get updates thie frequently. We should be happy we get this privilege
  • Dead cat bounce. It's over, people. The intern coding Windows 10 mobile is going back to college to complete her liberal arts degree.
  • My Lumia 950 ds is working great with Redstone update...every thing is smooth and fast...only thing broken according to me is cortana...is become less responsive...and slow...hope microsoft fix that soon and give us double tap to wake and vibrate to call answer for dual sim phones...
  • With this update I now have 7 apps that have updates and can not update.  Always fails out after install. Joy!
  • The trackpad wasn't working properly in the previous build either
  • is visual voicemail is suppose to work with any provider?
  • It's kinda the other way around.  If your provider offers VVM, then any phone that supports VVM should work with it, including ours.
  • Is the gadgets app working again?
Does the screen still go black for a bit then resume when rotating the device to landscape view while watching a video on YouTube?
Along with not get visual voicemail these were also occurring on my 950 using the previous build, hence I rolled back last night to .107.
  • So after the update before this one my camera app won't open
    I reset it but nothing
    It's pretty bad
  • Mine's working ok
  • Looks a good build but the send a text message via the PC is broken as the phone used to pop up a message saying the text has been sent. It does not work at all now??? Anyone know how to get this working?? When will Kaspersky be working again ??? David
  • My Lumia 950XL is working just fine on Redstone.  It's getting really irritating, however, to see people whine about things they cannot install, and then when they do they don't realize THEY INSTALLED A BETA AND THERE WILL BE ISSUES.  Please, just shut the hell up already.
  • What i dont get is there was an article on this site that stated the Redstone builds would be initially only be released to the 950/XL 550 and so forth. So most people here were aware and still complain. Im curious, how is the gadgets app working for you? I couldn't get it to pickup any of my devices. I'm going to try this build when I get home anyway.
  • New lumias are out so old and better Lumias are not important anymore.
Ex Lumia 1520 for Galaxy Note 5!
  • I hope the Groove playback issues will be fixed in this build...the .107 build really buggered Groove for me...
  • So is not available for 830
  • Only Lumia 950, 950 XL, 650, 550, Xiaomi Mi4, and Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL.
  • My friend has a L950 and it's like two different OS compared to my L920. MS please tell us what is going on? Don't tell me the firmware is the cause.
  • It's the same if you compare windows 10 on the 550 with the same build on the 520. They just need time to keep working, squashing those bugs and optimising the platform. In my opinion the gap has closed a lot over the last three builds and i expect this will continue for some time yet. Microsoft will be constantly tracking the performance of each model and will only release to the general public once the criteria they've set has been met. The 950, 550 etc have got there, and have been moved onto the Redstone branch. The older models will also get there, probably in increments, with the older lower spec phones coming last. People just need to keep the faith and the insiders programme is our opportunity to support them. After all, we all want the same thing. A successful Windows 10 platform.

  • 950 seems to be solid after update
  • So no more builds for older phones?
  • Maybe....!!!
  • For the last time....just go check Gabe's twitter feed. Previous generation devices have NOT been forgotten. The ones getting it now were released / designed for Win 10, so it makes sense to 'test' them first, and share that information with all the OEM's that have appeared. Legacy devices, as mentioned by Gabe, are not forgotten and depending on how things go, legacy devices will be included so people can moan about how buggy it is all over again!
  • Can I request that you stop getting me all excited by saying things are sent to "Insiders on the Fast Ring" when you mean owners of 5 devices? Unless they are the new fast ring and we have been moved to a new middle ring, in which case, they need to change the name. It's kinda obvious that "fast ring" doesn't mean the same thing it used to.
  • vvm now works on my 950xl. Yayyyy.
  • Time to add support for older models. Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Just effing release W10M already.
  • Does anyone know if call forwarding is broken with this build? Thanks.
  • An underwhelming update. Perhaps there's a bunch of stuff under the covers they have fixed, but this list isn't update worthy for me.
  • Just rolled back to .107 last night because of no visual voicemail on my 950. Fml.
  • Lmao. I did the same thing.
  • Microsoft just joking with us and makes us fool only or nothing else they don't care for us windows phone shucks.....!
  • I wonder why all phones aren't getting to participate anymore.
  • Seems like they got so much to fix yet not pushing much out right now.
  • And me here, still waiting for portuguese Cortana on my 640... *Loading...* Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • The 640 with SD400 WONT Run full release of W10M
  • Is VVM just on ATT? Im on rogers and nothing
  • Any carrier that supports it. T-Mobile and metropcs supports it Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Anything special you have to do to activate? Tried calling VM but nothing. Hmm
  • For what it's worth, this build is unstable on my ATT Lumia 950. The phone is locking up 3-4 times a day, often draining the battery until it's reset.
The previous build never did this.
  • What about other Lumias...???
  • Ok....im really, really looking for the scheduled release date of the very official public build of Windows 10 Mobile. Anybody have that? Or have an idea of it? I've heard on some sources that its Monday the 29th....i don't know whether to believe that or not
  • I'm on the fast ring yet don't have the phone required for this and they're not making me buy a 950. Patients is a virtue.
  • Yet again not for all lumias, ass *****
  • Vibrate on call answer is back on my 950xl! One of my requested feature. Thank you, Microsoft!
  • Why can't I see the update on my 1520? I'm on inside fast ring. I'm not sure why but I don't see the update at all.. Anyone facing the same issue?
  • For god sake, read the whole article. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • My Bluetooth connection with my car is broken, even after a hard reset :( this last build has my phone tripping.
  • This.... Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • Chuck
  • pathetic, so many issues still not fixed...
  • The way I see it & what I have read, Over the past months, seems to be to many devices running the Snapdragon 400 chip, it spans back a bit. 512mbr 1GBR, the 400 is ok on preview, but when it comes to full public releaseW10M. The SD400 Will struggle with the demands of the ever evolving changes of W10M, for the 400 to stand a chance it would probably need to run 2+GBRam at least that's the problem that's what the insider programme is about. The question is how do they get round it.
  • I've seen a guy here going crazy all over the ones hacking their registry to get builds...who the f*** do you think you are? you bought the phones from your own pocket?? it's their phones, not yours so shut the f*** up. If MS would have delivered a proper OS in a proper timeline without the same stupid SOON story no one where would complain about late deliveries! You look like a complete obssesed fanboy...don't worry, win10mobile is messed up already, there's nothing these hacks can brick anymore...and yes if MS cannot filter the telemetry data, if they are not capable of doing it, they should stay the ffff*** out of the mobile business.
  • Tu vorbesti mult si prost.
  • Is this build for all the insiders
  • This build up for all insider fast with specific phone :)
  • Hi guys, I noticed one weird thing after this build (not sure if it was doing before as well). I have Lumia 950 XL and with latest preview build if I open app which is using speakers to produce music etc... It makes noise (not clear audio output). It does that even if I turn volume to zero, which should disable sound output completely right? Can you check if your 950XL does that too? Simply run groove eg. Play music turn the volume to zero and put your ear close to back speaker. Thanks :)
  • I wish MS would force those working on W10M to use Lumia Phones as their daily drivers during working hours, i think we would see great improvements onW10M as they would be facing the same issues and lack of improvements on certain features that some of us are facing.
  • They are using them without being forced.
  • Preview again........
  • Hi together, i have the Lumia 950 and also installed the insider prview. I know it is an preview and i don't want to moan. The Preview runs very good at my Lumia but i face a issue that i can't change the app specific sounds any more when "standard" is maintained for apps. For all apps where i changed it before that build to a differend sound like "Signal 1" i can still change the sound. But for all new apps and the old ones where "Standard" is maintained i try to change it but every time i will be kicked out to the start screen. Does anyone of you also have that problem or maybe also an solution? Thanks in advance.
  • Meanwhile intel took continuum and upgraded it to sth even better and way cheaper ! http://m.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/MWC-2016-Android-Smartphone-mit-Lin... Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • strangly my .107 boild wont update to this, it hasnt shows up in my ind=sider at all, hum maybe thats not so bad as my current build rhwe .107 is awsome loving it on a 930.
  • The new build is only for the devices that have bin released with windows 10 on board. It has been said mor then 10 times.
  • Im not insider anymore even i reg as fast insider :3 no prob, im at 8.1
  • so.. the VPN client is still broken for L2TP? Not to even mention on having OpenVPN client as well... :(
  • When will insider of older lumia phone receive new windows 10 phone preview...?
  • They said that after the official release. So, probably next year:))
  • Showing media information (artist, song title, etc.) isn'T shown via bluetooth in my car's hands free(Golf 7) anymore Control of media playback (previous/next title) via bluetooth doesn't work anymore   Besides, of course, the still not working voice navigation via bluetooth since denim... I'm a patient tester, but so far W10m is nowhere near stable
  • After this my cars bluetooth (brand new mazda 3) does not work.. It keeps reconnecting every 10 seconds.. Completely useless.. Sigh.... Should have stayed on slow ring! Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • My visual voicemail is not working with Videotron in canada...
  • Downloaded on Lumia 950.. I know it's beta fast ring, just saying my phone keeps getting locked and power button doesn't wake it up unless I pull the battery out.
  • I didn't get any update....
  • I don't have any hopes whit this update either. I know that I have the old flagship lumia 930 and it's crap whit windows 10. In April after many years I am out of this. I will buy the Galaxy s7
  • After reading this, I don't see the point of going to developer preview with my 950, this build doesn't seem to offer anything but bugs.
  • Bugs issue with lumia 730 updated to windows 10 through windows insider. The phone gets frequently restarted. Please fix this. When i open 2-3 programs and when i press back button, it says resuming, and then restarts.
  • For the ones on older devices. Microsoft want you to purchase a new phone that's why you don't see the update. They did something similar on windows phone 7. It took a year just to get the Windows phone 8 start menu.
  • My 950xl become hot iron after install this build....windows 10 mobile is dead ត្រោយលី
  • All good stuff for those fixes. But no word at all on the oft reported Echo (echo, echo) problem with Lumia phones. It seems to be caused by the noise cancelling mics which work with Hey Cortana. The consequence is that Hey Cortana is currently unusable on Windows 10 phones unless you aren't planning to make any phone calls.   Any word on that being fixed?
  • Still need Copy-Paste !!!!!! We Can't Copy Any Text from Edge !! Which the worst thing... Microsoft, Add Copy -paste thing in Phone First
  • I wish I could find a way to stop contacts for linking. My dad, son, and I all have the same name and the People App keeps linking them into on contact. I have unlinked them. I have put the full names with suffixes trying to keep it from linking. Still links every time...
  • Man !!! First Fix The Most Bad Bug On MS Edge !!!!   Copy-Paste !!!!!!!   First fix this
  • The damn thing screwed my phone up.
  • Nokia 920
  • Is there going to be an upgrade to Windows 10 for my BLU WIN JR LTE as advertised http://fud.community.services.support.microsoft.com/Fud/FileDownloadHandler.ashx?fid=1861f9e8-a959-4881-8783-64f6b336c5c5 when I purchased the phone?  I bought the BLU as the Nokia 950 wasn't available until possibly months later in January 2016.  If anyone can help with this it would be appreciated as BLU said to go to https://www.windowscentral.com/e?link=https%3A%2F%2Fclick.linksynergy.co... and they said to sign up for Windows Insider and they do not show it on their supported phones:  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-supported-phones
  • I don't know doesn't seem like it
  • I just want to ask , how to get the official windows 10 phone OS if you are currently a windows 10 phone insider. Should I need to un-enroll? if yes, how do I get the official release?
