Next week we have no new "AAA" releases on Xbox One, but there are still a few surprises here and there. Notably, Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars is finally launching on the console, and Sonic Mania Plus is a great improvement to the base game. With that in mind, here are all the biggest games launching next week, between July 16 and July 20, 2018.

Guts and Glory

Guts and Glory is a hilarious game about driving through many perils. It's become somewhat of a sensation on YouTube because many gamers attempt to complete it and their characters end up perishing in hilarious ways. The game launched on PC in 2017 and now it's making the jump to Xbox One more than a year later.

Guts and Glory should launch on July 19, priced at $14.99.

Hungry Shark World

Are you a fan of the Feeding Frenzy games on Xbox 360? Well, Hungry Shark World is a similar experience on Android and iOS. Developed by Ubisoft's "Future Games of London" studio, Hungry Shark World lets players rise through the ranks of the food chain, starting as a small shark with a little bite and progressing into the meanest predator in the ocean. Just like Feeding Frenzy, players must eat as much as they can to take on a variety of fearsome bosses, including grotesque goblin sharks, prehistoric creatures, and deadly giant squids.

Hungry Shark World should launch on July 17, priced at $9.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements.

Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars

Lost on Mars is the second expansion for Far Cry 5 which takes aviation enthusiast Nick Rye to Mars. The ever-lovable Hurk needs help stopping an alien invasion of Earth and reaches out to Rye for help. This content mostly revolves around shooting giant spider-like insects and jumping around the red planet.

Lost on Mars should launch on July 17, priced at $9.99. Far Cry 5: Season Pass holders gain access to it for free. Far Cry 5 runs at native 4K resolution on Xbox One X.

Sonic Mania Plus

Sonic Mania Plus is the long-awaited update to Sonic Mania. To access the new content and additional characters, existing owners need to buy the "Sonia Mania: Encore Pack". Sonia Mania Plus seems to be the definitive edition of the game due to the scope of the new content.

Sonia Mania Plus should launch on July 17, priced at $29.99. Existing Sonia Mania owners can upgrade for $4.99. Sonia Mania Plus will also bring with it Xbox One X enhancements which push the resolution to native 4K. Currently, only the base game is available digitally through the Microsoft Store.

Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion

Adventure Time is an incredibly popular Cartoon Network show which has garnered a significant fan following over the years. Adults alongside children love the series and the quirky characters. Pirates of the Enchiridion is an original adventure set in the same universe. The Land of Ooo is underwater and it's up to Finn and Jake to find out why. Join the two heroes as they explore the high seas, search for hidden clues, interrogate shady suspects, and fight pirates to solve the mystery and save their waterlogged world.

Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion should launch on July 17, priced at $39.99.

Mothergunship

Mothergunship is a first-person shooter which allows you to completely customize your weapon. Earth has been ravaged by data-hoarding aliens and it's up to you to destroy every single one of them. According to the developer, the game is the spiritual successor to Tower of Guns, and blends shooting with versatile crafting.

Mothergunship should launch on July 17, priced at $24.99. The game is also getting a physical version which should launch on August 21 for $29.99.

Nidhogg 2

Nidhogg 2 was previously a PlayStation 4 console exclusive for many months. Luckily, it's coming to Xbox One next week. The premise behind the game is quite simple because you just have to reach the other side and kill anyone that stands in your way. However, combat is complex as you have to parry, shoot arrows, or employ other melee tactics.

Nidhogg 2 should launch on July 19, priced at $14.99.

Mugsters

Mugsters has a very unique aesthetic which somewhat resembles Tokyo 42. The story is quite simple though. Aliens have taken over the planet and enslaved humanity. Only you have the know-how to drive back the dastardly threat. Gameplay revolves around breaking out prisoners, collecting crystals, and running away from everything.

Mugsters should launch on July 17, priced at $14.99.

The Path of Motus

The Path of Motus is a very unique game. The "combat" revolves around using the correct words to deal with bullies you encounter on your adventure. For generations, a village of goblins has been trapped inside a mysterious forest. Anyone who attempts to leave returns hopeless and defeated. Determined to break new ground, a young goblin named Motus plans to build a series of bridges through the forest.

The Path of Motus should launch on July 17, priced at $14.99. A portion of the proceeds will go to The Cybersmile Foundation that helps countless bullying victims each year.

The Long Reach

According to the developer, The Long Reach is a pixelated adventure game filled with colorful characters, puzzles, and a shock of discovery. The title takes place in New Hampshire and draws inspiration from experiences like Lone Survivor and The Cave.

The Long Reach should launch on July 18, priced at $14.99. Those who preorder the game can get it for $12.74.

The Mooseman

The Mooseman is an exploration game which places you in the role of the titular character. You have the ability to see all that is hidden to the mortal eye. You're tasked with visiting the three layers of the universe and uncovering its secrets.

The Mooseman should launch on July 18, priced at $6.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements.

Other experiences like Doughlings, Frost and Tempest 4000 should also release next week.
