Samsung makes some exceptional SSD storage for PCs and the 980 Pro is about as good as you can get right now. It's PCIe 4.0 too so you know this thing is rapid. But just how fast? How does 6,900MB/s sound? PCIe 3.0 NVMe drives usually hit around 3,500MB/s, so this is quite the leap in performance. But that's not the best part. This Samsung SSD is on sale right now for Black Friday.

We've reviewed the Samsung 980 Pro and found it to offer excellent performance in such a small package. It may not be the fastest drive available on the market, but alongside competitors, Samsung continues to push the boundaries for PC storage. The endurance rating of this SSD family is up to 600 TBW and they all come with a five-year warranty.

You will need a PCIe 4.0 motherboard and processor to truly unlock all the potential of this SSD. It is possible to use it with a PCIe 3.0 board, but you'll be handicapping the drive and you may as well save some money and buy a PCIe 3.0 SSD. We've rounded up some of the best AMD PCIe 4.0 motherboards, should you require one.

It's best to stay tuned to Windows Central to see what other Black Friday deals we manage to spot. And remember to always use tools like CamelCamelCamel to make sure you're getting a good deal.
