Yesterday, Microsoft announced that Stellaris was coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC. The is an evolution of the 4X grand strategy genre with space exploration at its core. It features complex gameplay, a diverse selection of aliens, and emergent storytelling like many modern titles. According to the publisher, the game contains "engaging moments that reward interstellar exploration" as you traverse, discover, interact, and learn more about the characters you encounter.
Xbox Game Pass is a monthly subscription service that costs $10 a month on Xbox One or PC. If you're a new PC subscriber, you may be eligible for a promotion. You gain access to a number of great games and can download them immediately through the Microsoft Store.
Only the base Stellaris game is part of Xbox Game Pass. If you want to play the many expansions, you'll have to purchase them separately. It's easily a title you can spend hundreds of hours playing, maybe more.

This was known, but did it release today? I'm confused why to single this game out in a news article otherwise. There already was an article about upcoming games in October that listed Stellaris.
