Call of Cthulhu is a game inspired by Chaosium's classic pen and paper adventure. According to Cyanide Studio, players uncover chilling mysteries, descending deep into a world of cosmic horrors, creeping madness, and shrouded "Old Gods" within Lovecraft's iconic universe. The gameplay is reminiscent of titles like Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter.
The plot follows private investigator Edward Pierce as he is sent to evaluate the tragic death of the Hawkins family in their mansion. Everyone has been slaughtered. The mansion is located on the dangerous Darkwater Island, just off the coast of Boston. Between unhelpful locals and questionable police reports, it becomes clear that there's more to the case than what's being let on by everyone. The trail leads Pierce to a terrifying world of conspiracies and supernatural threats.
Call of Cthulhu is currently available for physical and digital preorder on Xbox One for $59.99. The title is expected to launch on October 30, 2018.
