Got Vonage? Vonage Call may make calling from your Windows Phone easier

Vonage Call

Vonage Call is a relatively new Windows Phone app that is designed form making calls using Vonage extensions.

Vonage is a home phone service that connects your calls using a high-speed internet connection. Vonage Call is designed for making international calls through Vonage using the services extension feature.

Vonage Call

Your Windows Phone needs to be registered with Vonage, a Vonage extension account, an access number and a PIN (all available through your Vonage). Vonage Call imports your Windows Phone contacts and in the settings you can add the extension number which will then be added when you dial the contact.

We'd love to say Vonage Call works like a charm but none of our staff members are Vonage subscribers.  However, based on the reviews in the Windows Phone Store the app works like a charm but may have some stability issues to iron out.

Vonage Call is a free, ad-supported app that you can find here at the Windows Phone Store.

Ir would be great if they designed the Vonage app more like or exactly like the Windows 8 Skype app.
Then, importing of your Contacts and then endless updating of your Contacts in both apps would be unnecessary.
Haha, maybe they can get it working before Microsoft/Skype do!? ;-)

Wow, what would really be great and a quick way for Time Warner and Xfinity to break into mobile would be to create a Windows Phone 8 app!
Your home calls could ring to your mobile when you are out, or you could call uses and have your caller-ID show as another number.
I'd love that and would subscribe to Xfinity's phone service if they did that.

Lol I just called Comcast about that today because I just got their services and they told me that hey are working on an app for WP8 & W8.. Don't know when but according to them, one is being made..

Sweet! Did you ask if they are making a VoIP app or a media app like the one they have already on the Xbox?
I'm betting they making a TV Guide type app plus some on-demand services.
