Instagram will soon let you save live video replays to your Story

Instagram is giving a bit of a boost to two of its more popular features, Stories and live video, by bringing them together. Now, once you wrap up a live stream, you'll be able to save a replay of the video directly to your Story so others can view it for 24 hours.

It's not entirely surprising that Instagram would bring the two features together. Though the interactive nature of a live broadcast obviously isn't there in a replay, it's a handy thing to have should anything unexpected or interesting happen.

Instagram also announced today that Stories has now reached a whopping 250 million daily active users. That trumps Snapchat's most recently reported numbers, which came in at 166 million daily active users as of May. Considering Instagram Stories, which is essentially a clone of Snapchat's own Stories feature, only arrived on the scene in August 2016, that's some fairly rapid growth.

Instagram says that the live video replay feature is currently only rolling out to its mobile apps on Android and iOS. The company has been pretty good about keeping its Windows app updated, however, so the feature should make its way to Windows 10 PC and Mobile users soon.
