Razer has built a gargantuan catalog of high-quality gaming headsets during its tenure, from premium-priced juggernauts to cheap yet reliable alternatives.

The Razer Barracuda sat somewhere in the middle with its high $99.99 MSRP, advanced audio quality, and complex tech that made it compatible with a variety of platforms.

Windows Central Review:⭐⭐⭐⭐

Why buy the Razer Barracuda X?

For starters, the Razer Barracuda X features Razer TriForce 40mm drivers within its earcup to produce high-quality audio with punchy, controlled bass and rich trebles.

Additionally, this headset includes a universal 2.4GHz USB-C dongle that, when plugged in, ensures its wireless connections have near-perfect audio reception and sound quality with no lag dragging it down.

Other notable features include 3.5mm wired connectivity in case you lose the wireless dongle, 20 hours of battery life, Type-C charging, a detachable Razer HyperClear Cardioid microphone, an Over-the-ear design with padded earcups that's comfy to wear, and a lightweight of 250g so it doesn't wear down on your head.

The only real point of contention with the Razer Barracuda X is that (aside from not being able to use this headset wirelessly with Xbox), if you lose the universal dongle, you will lose access to its wireless connectivity, so make sure you put it in a safe place you can remember to find.

Other than that, this is a great headset for PC, mobile, and console players who like to play on multiple platforms, especially for budget-savvy users now that it's at a more affordable price of $67.29 at Amazon.
