Far Cry 5 breaks out the boom sticks in first gameplay trailer

We knew Far Cry 5 was shaping up to be quite the interesting take on the franchise with its initial reveal, but now we've got our very first look at some pretty explosive gameplay.

Debuted at Ubisoft's E3 2017 briefing, the trailer gives us a look at just over 3 minutes of action. What really shines here is the way you can leverage your companions from the resistance to help you take down the cult antagonists on the fly. And yes, that includes a helpful little pup named Boomer.

Far Cry 5 is set for release on February 27, 2018, and it's up for preorder now.
