Crimson Desert is the gift that keeps on giving, and this time it’s delivering Crimson Desert turned into Diablo. Fans of Diablo and isometric games in general are in for a treat here.

Thanks to the players discovering these camera tweaks and highlights on X, more posts online are starting to take off, with the shared settings somewhat mimicking a top-down view.

These settings should get you a more top-down experience. That said, I’ve found it can vary, and I’d personally prefer an even more zoomed-out view. Though that's likely not possible without mods, still, these changes do make the game feel a little different.

  • When in-game, go to Settings
  • With Settings, go to Accessibility
  • Under Accessibility, scroll down
  • Set Camera Visual Range to 0
  • Set Camera Distance to 100
  • Set Camera Vertical Offset to 0
  • Set Camera Horizontal Offset to 0

Crimson Desert has now been out for over two months, and the developers don’t seem to be slowing down. The latest patch came in at nearly 40GB, adding several requested features and showing the team is listening to feedback.

As for my time with the game, I haven’t had the chance to fully dive in yet. From what I have played, though, it’s been fun, and it reminds me of the feeling I got from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, especially with its focus on exploration.

My brother, however, is still sinking time into it, with over 100 hours now. He swears by it. Despite the rocky reviews at launch, people have come around on the game. Steam reviews are now sitting at very positive after initially being mixed on release.

With that said, let me know your thoughts. Will you try Crimson Desert with these camera tweaks, or do you prefer to keep it third person?
