Microsoft is offering a fairly enticing deal to pull more people into designing a custom controller through its Xbox Design Lab. Right now, you can add rubberized grips to your controller for free. Not too shabby, considering that's typically a $6 up-charge.

Rubberized grips are one of the newest additions to the design lab setup, following some new options that were recently added to the custom controller creator. Other newly available options include metallic finishes for the triggers and D-pad, along with new base colors to pick from.

The deal is actually part of Microsoft's Ultimate Game Sale, which kicked off last week and runs through July 10. It also appears to be available in the UK, France, and Germany, where the Xbox Design Lab only just recently launched. If your interest is piqued, you can grab a custom controller starting at $79 with free shipping at the Xbox Design Lab now.
