Surface Laptop 3 update brings stability and battery life improvements

Microsoft pushed out a fresh firmware update for Surface Laptop 3 devices with AMD processors this week. The update is a pretty small one, but it packs some solid improvements nonetheless. Specifically, this update targets its improvements on battery life and system stability.
Here's a look at the release notes from Microsoft's Surface Update History (opens in new tab):
- Surface UEFI – Firmware: 1.2238.140.0 - improves system stability and battery life.
This update is now available via Windows Update for AMD-based Surface Laptop 3 devices. Microsoft notes that it's only available across those running the Windows 10 May 2019 Update and later.
This follows a fairly substantial set of updates both the Intel and AMD versions received in January, which brought performance improvements across the board.
