World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the next big expansion in the long-running MMORPG, needs a little bit longer. John Hight, Executive Producer at Blizzard Entertainment, announced today that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is delayed until later in 2020. Originally scheduled to release on October 27, 2020, the expansion is being delayed due to needing some additional polish.
Blizzard does not have a new date for launch in mind yet. In the meanwhile, the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands pre-patch, which introduces features like the altered leveling system and new character customization options, is set to release on October 13.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is introducing some major shakeups in the form of Covenants, a roguelike dungeon called Torghast and endgame content in The Maw. We'll be sure to provide an update when a new release date for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is revealed.
