ASUS kicks off ZenBook 3 sales in the U.S.

ASUS has kicked off sales of its new ZenBook 3 in the U.S. The incredibly thin ultrabook is now on sale direct from ASUS in two configurations starting at $1,099.

To recap, the bas model available from ASUS (via OneTechStop) is available in silver with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. If you want to step things up a bit, you can also snag a configuration sporting a blue exterior, an Intel Core i7 processor and double the storage and RAM at 512GB and 16GB, respectively. The higher-end model will set you back a bit more, however, at $1,600.

Hands-on with the ASUS ZenBook 3

Both models of course sport an incredibly thin aluminum body that has been compared heavily to Apple's MacBook. Each also packs a USB Type C port and up to 9 hours of battery life, according to ASUS. You'll also be looking at a 12.5-inch 1080p screen, along with a built-in fingerprint sensor compatible with Windows Hello.
