Updated January 14, 2019: Forza Horizon 4 will also receive the Mitsubishi Motors Car Pack alongside the update on January 15.

Forza Horizon 4 launched a few months ago, and gamers are loving the open-world racing experience. The game features upgraded visuals and a shared world for an even more community-focused experience. The user feedback seems to be great, and the title has also garnered a lot of critical acclaim from numerous outlets. The game currently sits at a 92 on Metacritic from over eighty reviews.

Recently, Playground Games — now owned by Microsoft — launched the Fortune Island expansion. While there isn't another major piece of content dropping for another couple of months at least, there are smaller updates in between. Today, the developer detailed the changes coming with the January 15, 2019 update. The biggest addition has to be the "Free-For-All" Adventure mode. The patch notes state the following.

This update adds a brand-new way to play Online Adventure, where players compete individually. Available in both Ranked and Unranked modes, this new game mode can be found in the Online Adventure tab, replacing 'Anything Goes.'

It's great to see that the game is getting aggressive post-launch support even months after release. Hopefully this will continue into the future, or at least until the second expansion releases. We wonder what that'll be. Let's hope it's as thrilling as Hot Wheels from Forza Horizon 3!

The January 15 update also includes a lot of other fixes you can read about here. However, Free-For-All Adventure is the most significant addition, especially since Anything Goes is being retired.
