  • Did they fixed the double whack to wake?
  • Jesus, I dont even own this, and only read half of it and saw something mentioning double tap to wake. You're lazy
  • I think he's asking for an opinion on whether it works a lot better now, not whether they made ANY change to it. From what I understand, it's pretty crappy on this device because it uses the accelerometer rather than the usual technology in the screen.
  • No but they added double wake to whack.
  • I'm really interested about buying this device.. I'll wait some weeks and see what's going on ;)
  • Buy it on Black Friday, it will be much cheaper $486!!! at Microsoft Store
  • By Next Year, it Will Be In a Better Shape Then I Get My Hands On It....Niceeee**Pari**
  • My x3 is not getting the firmware update. It doesn't s:(ee it.
  • I was able to get I working by using Windows Device Recovery Tool (WDRT). However, for some reason, I had to do it twice. Flashed, check for updates and it would not detect it. So I played with phone and decided to use the tool again. The second time after setup it found update right away. I also have the Laptop Dock and I wish it was cheaper since it works great on my 950 XL and my wife’s new Alcatel. I think I am going to return it and grab it again tomorrow during black Friday sale. Great phone but miss my camera, might get a 950 and sell my 950xl to use just as a camera.
  • Concur with JCerna -- had to WDRT my phone twice to get it to install. I was running the Fast Ring build, which somehow prevents FW updates. Now I am back at the current release build but have the new firmware. Interestingly, the new firmware and the non-RS2 build now permit the camera to take 4:3 pics as well as 16:9, which boosts pixel count from 10MB to 16MB. On the prior firmware you couild get the 4:3 option only if youj were running a RS2 pre-release version. I think I am going to stay with the current release (14393.448) in case more FW updates come along in the near future. I really don't want to keep reactivating my phone from scratch, which is what happens after a WDRT experience. With the release version of the OS, FW updates should come OTA as soon as they are available.
  • Frustrating because this phone has so much potential, and held back by little items like this. I wish they'd give us some option to keep up to date on the firmware.
  • Isn't the Skype for Business app known issue just due to MS not having released a UWP version? Or is it talking about launching the desktop app from HP Workspace?
  • HP's been busy!  Too bad it's too big for my tastes.
  • It's a good device, buy it.
  • HP rules!
  • It isn't that Skype for Business doesn't work on Continuum for this device, Skype for Business doesn't work on continuum in general. I don't believe it is a UWP. And it is super annoying to not be able to run on Continuum. I do love Continuum though. Completely changed how I work.
  • Want to buy cuz I can't wait for the rumored Surface Phone to emerge. Can someone verify if it works on AT&T? Been a Verizon customer FOREVER, but they just don't want to show the MS love anymore :( Never purchased unlocked phone before so this is new territory for me.
  • Yes, it will work on At&t network but you won't get Wi-Fi calling
  • Thx! Been stalking the sale since it was announced...can't wait!
  • Apparently, I didn't understand the "deal." MS Store chat explained that $799 phone & desk dock bundle "sale price" is $799.  That's the sale price including the $313 off they've been advertising.  Not sure what kind of Black Friday Sale that is.  Could've gotten that "deal" anytime, right?
  • Sorry, I misunderstood their deal. It looks like that they overed price the phone and the lap doc instead of making any discount!! So, still bad deal and we have to wait couple more months to see big huge discount
  • That's not the sale price, that's the full price.
  • 3G on the second SIM is cool. On 950XL it is limited to 2G. Will test it soon.
  • Yeh, why can't Microsoft enable 3G on the second SIM for L950?!!!
  • anybody know a good camera app where I could use one of the sound buttons as the camera button... that's the only thing missing for me at the moment, for the rest not a singelsecond of regret (as of the first firmware update ;-) )
  • I hoped this would fix motion tracking. I can't get fitbit to count steps using Mobiletrack, and the microsoft band app counts steps but thousands more than I actually do. Any ideas?
  • What?!
Oh my goodness, was this device launched like a beta phone?
This is incredible... Much bugs than in Lumias.
  • Lol Looking at the world with rose colored glasses again? 950/XL had a firmware update 4 weeks after release in December and *numerous* firmware since. Learn the history.
  • So what? The history of 950 has nothing to do with it. Still launched as a $700 beta for business.
  • It surprising to see another phone besides a Lumia getting such support. Behavior like this could kill the concerns people have had about getting a non Microsoft phone.
  • MS needs to enable 3G support for second sim on Lumias too. As of now its reduced to stupid 2G
  • And I thought this was a hardware restriction naively.
  • I really like the progress HP has been making with this phone.
  • good. :)
  • this has a showstopping unlock error and they're still rolling it out?
  • What is the unlock error like? I have a 950XL and was contemplating the HP. But, is it just a random false error that actually locks you out of the phone?!
  • Bump. Anyone know the severity of this lock out?
  • Il buy it after a year when it's properly settled like the lumia 950 xl.
