Ever since Xbox One backward compatibility was announced, gamers have been asking for a few high-profile games. While the majority of requests revolve around the Call of Duty franchise, the Command and Conquer franchise has been other hot series. Today, Microsoft announced that Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Command and Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3, and Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Commander's Challenge are now backward compatible.
Backward compatibility opens Xbox One to a huge variety of games, spanning three generations of Microsoft's consoles. Despite hardware differences, it remains an outstanding feature, allowing a select library of older games to be played on Xbox One. While the majority of them are Xbox 360 titles, there are also some original Xbox games in there. To date, gamers have enjoyed well over a billion hours of backward compatible games, and the catalog now includes over five hundred Xbox 360 games alone.
Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
The year is 2047 and a massive nuclear fireball explodes high in the night sky, marking the dramatic beginning of the Third Tiberium War and the long-awaited return of the franchise. Command and Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath
The Command and Conquer series continues with Command and Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath. Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3
The desperate leadership of a doomed Soviet Union travels back in time to change history and restore the glory of Mother Russia. The time travel mission goes awry, creating an alternate timeline where technology has followed an entirely different evolution, a new superpower has been thrust on to the world stage, and World War III is raging.
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Commander's Challenge
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Commander's Challenge is a rerelease of Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3: Uprising without any of the four mini-campaigns.
The Command and Conquer games are renowned strategy titles from EA. While there hasn't been an excellent new entry in a while, Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is a fan favorite. Be sure to check out all of these games if you look strategy games like Halo Wars 2 on Xbox One.
