The Surface Book 2 and Windows Mixed Reality are both fresh on the market, and Microsoft is bundling up the newness for the holidays. Right now, the Microsoft Store is offering up a bundle deal that shaves $400 off the price of a Surface Book 2 and a Windows Mixed Reality headset when bought together.
The deal lets you build your own bundle, so you get a choice of Surface Book 2 models and headset. There are a couple of caveats to be aware of, however. First, this only applies to the 13.5-inch Core i7 Surface Book, so you're limited to a selection of three high-end models starting at $1,999. Second, the choice of headsets appears to be limited to the Lenovo Explorer, Acer WMR Headset, Dell Explorer, or HP WMR Headset. However, given the $400 savings, that means you can essentially get either an Acer or Lenovo headset for free, or shell out $49 for a Dell or HP headset.
The offer is set to run through December 18, and it's available to customers in the U.S. and Canada. Just keep in mind that, since the Surface Book 2 lacks an HDMI port, you'll need a USB-C to HDMI adapter to hook up your choice of Mixed Reality headset.
